Things that make me super-hate my Taycan (nits and rants)

All of your items Derek and add a couple more, at least 75% of the time I input my PIN it fails to go through and I have to enter it a second time. Also having 2 phones connected at the same time seems to confuse Android Auto and it drops the connection to my phone. I have talked with the...

    Another Flat... Aaarrgggg

I agree with the shop a puncture like that is not repairable, a nail or bolt sure but that looks to be a 1/2 inch slice and I wouldn't trust even an internal patch on that. I also had 2 tire punctures within my first 2 years of ownership (1 nail & 1 bolt) and had both of those plugged with no...

    Punctured bottom of Taycan

This is the front fiber cover for the suspension, I sliced mine (also a 2023) on some debris and bought a new one for around $375 and replaced it. Easy to do just a handful of screws to remove, I would not sweat it.

    2020 => 2025 4S configuration advice

I live in upstate NY and have NVA, we salt our roads heavily in the winter and stone them in the summer. In 2 years and 12k of driving never had an issue with damage to the thermal camera in the nose. NVA is not perfect but it has saved my bacon on a few occasions and I highly recommend it. I...

Make you own title-FYI The 53 y/o Porsche driver did it

Actually my wife drives her Boxster year round as her daily driver, I have a set of snows on a 2nd set of rims that she runs. The Boxster is great in the snow with the snows unless the road isn't plowed and she turns into a snow plow.

Make you own title-FYI The 53 y/o Porsche driver did it

This happened here in Rochester, from our local news web site " Rochester Police say at 8:40 a.m. on Tuesday a 53-year-old man was trying to turn his 2014 Porsche onto College Avenue from North Goodman Street when he lost control of the car and hit three parked cars in the parking lot next to...

Porsche advises not to plug or patch tires on Taycan

My dealer put a plug in my right rear tire no problem, didn't even charge me for as it the car was in for the 1st battery test recall. Said it wasn't worth the paper work, I count my lucky stars that we have a reasonable dealership here.

[Help] Fun or Practical, I can't decide!

I live just outside Rochester NY and daily drive my Taycan year round. No issues in the winter just make sure you have the proper tires on it (not summer tires) in the winter. Never had an issue with ground clearance, I have 20 inch rims which helps with the pot holes we get. My bigger concern...

    Front plate mounting options

I also used the stonsho mount and I'm quite happy with it, I just leave the plate mounted and take it off to wash or show the car.

    2024 Model 3 Performance

@DerekS I'm pretty sure there is a setting in the PCM that puts the drivers seat all the way back when you unlock the car, I swear I turned this off because it puts the seat so far back it made it hard for me to get in. I'm only 5' 8" so I can just slide into the seat as is. For the most part I...

    P&C Charging Service Error

I have the same error, haven't check the PCM yet to see if P&C got deselected when the 1st year subscription ran out (even though we get 3 years of 30 minutes charging). I went into the app to renew the service and after the renewal this error was displayed. Car is currently at the detail shop...

Mobile charger overheating after recall service

@RetroQueequeg as @daveo4EV said the manual tells you to match the breaker and the charger then automatically adjust, BTW the calculation is (50 x 240 = 12kw max * .8 = 9.6 kw safe). Also our local code calls for 6 gage wire for this application, this could be different in Texas where you are...

Mobile charger overheating after recall service

I had the same issue the last few weeks here in upstate NY with the heat wave. I installed the Tesla Universal Charger I purchased with the Porsche recall check and all is now good. @RetroQueequeg if you have a 50 amp circuit then why did you set it to 40 amps? I set mine to 50 amps and its is...

Road trip report - Norfolk (UK) to Switzerland in Taycan Turbo S

Great trip and report. I'm very jealous as here in the states our charging infrastructure outside of Tesla Super Chargers is wanting. I would love to take mine on these kind of long trips.

    Porsche mobile charger behavior

I have experienced the same behavior as you in the last couple of months. Once it stopped short of the 85% and twice where it charged t0 100%. I have no timers active and only 1 profile active. The active profile lists my home address as the location, 85% as the minimum charge and a preferred...
