I was looking at the CANviz project, asked a few questions to Gemini, and got this.
Is that true ? I don't have a PIWIS and can't double check.
In that case, I won't bother swapping them....
In a Taycan, mileage and operating hours are not just stored in the instrument cluster. They are...
I was looking at what other European brands offer: the very large majority has the same year/mileage limits. Only Mercedes goes to 10 years for the EQS and EQE.
I would expect an aftermarket also for all these brands. otherwise, no one is gonna buy these used models.
same as above.
after reading the 3 pages, I'll give a try to the surround view on the steering wheel. I (often) use so far the dedicated button on the central console.
I would assume they thought about it (did they ?) but for some reason(s) decided not to.
Possible reasons:
1/ even in cold weather, it affects only the first stop. On a trip with several stops, battery will be at properly temp. for the other stops due to the first charging stop
2/ time wise, we...
I've done a test "range vs Sport +" a couple of years ago under cold weather: heater didn't start when in Sport+

I have a trip planned in 2 weeks with 3 stops and do like you said. But you don't need the charge planner at all it seems, at least if you plan to stop once. I just tested it now.
1/ charge planner is off and will stay off for the whole procedure
2/ I set a destination. NAV tells me I will...
Those screenshots (if you refer for instance to those on the previous message) are from Carscanner, from the recorded data stored on the phone.
I also sometimes export the data from Carscanner to Excel and plot some graphs there. But rarely .
I want to share a strange experience on a round trip I just did: about 350km each way, requiring one charging stop.
I decided not to use the charging planner, to avoid NAV crashes. It was off both ways, I checked that several times...
Indeed, NAV did not crash a single time on both trips...
something similar happened in the winter trip I mention above.
I split the phone screen with Waze and Car scanner when driving.
NAV crashed when I was getting close to the first stop, while heater was on preconditioning (>10A). I then noticed that the heater was still on for about a minute...
I have similar issues with the NAV lately. I won't add more on that : it should be fixed. No discussion.
I'll come back however on the preconditioning: it is not such a big problem in winter, and even less in summer.
I keep monitoring for almost 2 yrs all trips more than 700km, where I have to...
awesome application !
would it be possible, for very long trips only, to get the consumption :
- with a seasonal variation
- by speed range. it could go from 50/60 km/h up to 150/160 km/h
Thanks again for all the efforts !
edit: looking at my data, i do not have trips with an average speed...
update at 109 mkm / 68 kmi after rebalancing: SoH : 90.42
it did not change since 43 k mi (October 2024) where it also was 90.4.
I tried to add it to the original graph (big red dot).
That is not far from the Data point provided by Porsche Factory Marketing at around 62000 mi
I haven't driven long trips since the end of last summer, where it was working fine for a 2000 km trip.
I recently drove from Belgium to Switzerland, and I experienced what happened in the +50 pages of this thread.
I needed the charge planner for preheating at stops (3) I choose for the trip...
I was curious on how/when the car decides to give a boost to the 12V battery so I installed the same device on the Taycan about 10 months ago: it records every 2mn the voltage, temperature and SoC (but that's not important).
that's a lot of measurements over this period....
- no noticeable...
