I went for Michelin pilot Alpin 5 last winter. I can't compare with Continental or Hankook in terms of noise, range, longevity or price: they did the job, ie handling well in such conditions

fast conclusion…. we all have different use, needs. I only charge at work, 22kW. done in 2 or 3 hrs (or less) and then i can free the charger for someone else or use the car to go to a meeting and back. It would be totally different if I needed 4 to 6 hrs .

consumption and range depend on so many parameters that trying to do a comparison / estimation is a bit like playing lottery. I measured the consumption on long (more than 160 km / 100 mi) legs between 2 charging stops. average speed is ... a real average speed, with slower / higher speeds on...

a common explanation on German forum is that the app mesures only the energy used by the drivetrain, but doesn’t count energy lost to things like battery heating/cooling, running the car electronics, etc. Therefore the inaccuracy with what we experience in real life
