I went for Michelin pilot Alpin 5 last winter.
I can't compare with Continental or Hankook in terms of noise, range, longevity or price: they did the job, ie handling well in such conditions
fast conclusion…. we all have different use, needs.
I only charge at work, 22kW. done in 2 or 3 hrs (or less) and then i can free the charger for someone else or use the car to go to a meeting and back. It would be totally different if I needed 4 to 6 hrs .
22 kW was an option (1700 €) : would they reimburse me ?
panoramic roof was also an option: if it breaks and they can’t replace it, i’m gonna gave a convertible ? or they will fix a piece of steel on top ? 🧐
my OBC (22 kW) was replaced (with a 22kW) about 1yr ago: i got the error while charging at a 3kW charger.
I always use DC or 22 kW AC: it was perhaps the 3rd or 4th time in the entire life of the car I used such slow charger.
i always wondered if the issue was the OBC or the charger: charger...
92000km. SoH : 89.3%
between 2/3 to 3/4 DC charging without preserving the battery. rest with AC charging 22kW
all green. all good.
Thank you for the awesome app !
(Windows 10 on Parallels Desktop - MacBook 2013)
consumption and range depend on so many parameters that trying to do a comparison / estimation is a bit like playing lottery.
I measured the consumption on long (more than 160 km / 100 mi) legs between 2 charging stops. average speed is ... a real average speed, with slower / higher speeds on...
a common explanation on German forum is that the app mesures only the energy used by the drivetrain, but doesn’t count energy lost to things like battery heating/cooling, running the car electronics, etc. Therefore the inaccuracy with what we experience in real life
works fine too on a (very) old MacBook Air 2013.
Not enough space for Boot Camp, so I used Parallels Desktop 18 (OS 10.14 Mojave?♂️), downloaded a Windows 10 ISO from Microsoft, and installed the virtual machine on an external hard drive.
you won't see any difference from standstill, but only above 80/100 km/h, or rolling.
Most likely not what you're looking at if you mean a kick from launch.
