I had a Macan with AirSuspension and 20'' wheels for 3 years, 55k miles, no rattles ever even on rough roads. My kid would kick the passenger seat and B pillar and they would not rattle. Btw it was a 2015 i.e. first year model.
Today I was in my Taycan, parked/stopped while it was fast...
$90k and NOT eligible for the $7500 federal tax credit in the US..
(However, I am not sure how long the other manufacturers will be eligible for the credit either.)
It also indicates the importance of software for battery management. Software bugs in this component can be disastrous.
ICU cars might catch fire due to mechanical issues (like leaking gas) cars but it is extremely unlikely they will catch fire while parked due to a software bug.
In my opinion Porsche is doing the bare minimum when it comes to formal recalls. In many cases they would have a campaign that fixes an issue but they would not publisize it and they would not notify the customer about it. The only way for the customer to find out is forums like this or next...
Looks good.
I cannot see from the pictures how the door and the door opener are not in the way of the lifted car. Did you reroute the door tracks?
Can you share a photo that shows the garage door open and a car on the lift?
My understanding is the following:
- PIWIS is the actual tool (computer) they connect to the car to read data and perform software updates.
- PQIS stands for Porsche Quality Information System. It is the internal system (like a database) they use to record the service history and pending...
The satellite antenna issue is known to Porsche, they have a TSB acknowledging it but no fix This is one more known issue without a fix https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2021/MC-10191723-0001.pdf
I used to have the slow map load very often and the dealer "recoded" the PCM which improved things...
I don't think this thread is comparing the interior aesthetics. The Taycan's interior is certainly more modern as it should be for a car released in 2020. Macan's interior is almost unchanged since 2015 with a mild refresh that included the newer PCM in 2019 and it show's its age. This thread is...
Everything you said is spot on.
It would have saved everyone a lot of frustration if the Taycan had the same PCM as the Panamera/Cayenne/Macan instead of using a beta of PCM 6.0.
I was a Macan owner and I have driven at least 10 Macans/Cayennes and I was never frustrated by their PCM. It is not...
^ this. To have any luck either with the arbitration or going to court you need to be able to reproduce the issue consistently and capture it on camera when it happens. I think you should get a camera with a suction cup and add it to the panoroof and record the instrument panel and steering...
Internal Porsche memo for the missing electric steering adjustment. Based on the document it affects cars manufactured after May 10th 2021.
The campaign number is WME3. The document was created May 27th and published Jun 2nd. It also links to a list of affected VINs...
I am diverging a bit off the main topic but this seems to be a pattern with EA where the only working station is the one with the chademo blue port. In a location I charge often the service team came and disabled another station and enabled the one with the Chademo.
It looks like EA is running...
Most policies will not cover OEM if non-OEM parts are easy to find (which I doubt they are for Taycans so they mightbe forced to pay OEM). Some insurances have an "OEM coverage" option that you can add to your policy

Btw AAA also...
For the first time today I saw the new Chargepoint DC stations. Their old DC chargers were 50kw with output voltages 200-500V (datasheet). The new ones can support either 62.5KW as a standalone or 125kw if they are paired. I checked their datasheet and they support output voltages 200V-1000V.
So...
Well, charger #2 was up and running only for a couple of days. It shows "unavailable" again on the screen.
I called EA again and I demanded to speak to a supervisor since this location has always 1 (and recently 2) out 3 stations out of order.
To make a long story short, they can see from their...
There are dealers reported in this forum trying to sell very expensive 4 year maintenance plans for the Taycan while the car needs only brake fluid and cabin air filter replacement every 2 years.
Btw the battery is covered by 8 year factory warranty.
