I thought about trying to track consumption, but was too busy to do things like reset the trip computer or keep track of the number of laps. If I were going to make a best guess I'd say 8 laps for the good sessions x 3.27 miles per lap = 26.16 miles. 39% of the usable battery capacity consumed...
There is an Apple setting for using cellular if a WiFi hotspot doesn't have an internet connection. I have this setting enabled and wireless carplay works fine and my phone doesn't lose internet.
TL;DR - Taycan is good for 2 20 minute hard driving sessions on this 3.27 mile track. Driving easier (braking earlier in turns so regen recovers more kinetic energy) and charging between sessions can enable a third and possibly fourth 20 minute session before acceleration becomes limited due to...
One very minor correction - timer can optionally set charge level and/or optionally set cabin temp. It's possible to have a timer that is for the cabin only.
I believe (but have not tested) that preferred charging times only really make a difference if the departure timer is set for some time...
It seems the smoking gun for a failed OTA module is if your details on the Porsche website (state of charge, mileage) haven't been updated for several days. If your car details are correct, it's something else with your My Porsche account or your car.
That's strange. Once the 6am timer is satisfied, the next timer would become active (which should be your non-charging, precondition only timer). Indeed maybe setting that as a charging timer as well is what is needed. I've had good success with my approach but I don't need/use the second timer...
Use two timers and don't bother with preferred charging times or a profile - just clear the checkbox for the general profile to make it inactive. This works great with time-of-use rate plans.
One timer should be configured for 6am (the end of your low rate electricity) with charging enabled and...
ACC distance of 1 seems to pretty closely align with the 2 second rule - but there's always some prick who thinks there is plenty of room for them to get in between you and the car in front of you. This isn't a Porsche or ACC problem...
I'm certain by "hard disk" you meant embedded SSD, but given all the other shortcomings we have seen from Porsche here, I really wouldn't be that surprised to find a spinner in there. I think the PCM control board sits below the center console control screen but I don't know this for certain. If...
@PT Addiction You're next - git r done. Find a stoplight. Irritate the people behind you by slowing down for a yellow. No more excuses or we're going to spam your TaycanForum notifications with mentions of shame...
When I took my teenage son and a friend for a trip on the LC ride, I told them to put their heads against the headrest. As is usual with teenage boys, they objected. I could have told them to continue breathing and that would have been an bad idea. My son's friend's reaction afterwards? "OK, I...
There could be some dealer Taycan experts that are more capable than others. My MY2020 update took one day longer than expected (3.5 days vs. 2.5 days) but otherwise went off without any problems. Regardless though, there are a lot of problems being reported here and hopefully Porsche is working...
The progression from base -> S/4S -> GTS -> Turbo -> Turbo S always includes performance and of course price increases at each step. The biggest mechanical change related to performance between the 4S and the Turbo is the rear motor. So what would be squeezed in between those two levels? The...
