Respectfully there are about three other threads on this same topic. See similar threads below. SHort answer, yes this has been seen but there is no clear understanding why. Leading theory is a bit extra charge possibly based on current or predicted temperature...
Logging out of the connect app is not necessary. The car will still periodically check in with Porsche via a second low-power telematics connection (in the OTA control module). Your app simply gets the updates from that same Porsche server. Now if you go into the app and change something in the...
Hmm, this would be counter-productive for those of us with time-of-use rate plans UNLESS the car also honors the preferred charging times setting in the active profile. It's also possible this is a charging behavior change engineered in as a way of reducing the occurrence of 12V battery death...
To add to your list, IIRC, Porsche is recommending brake pad replacement at 6 years - not expecting them to wear out before them due to the regen capability of the car.
But how about that original question about drainage...?
Assuming the backend was developed with an autoscaling / geographic redundancy perspective vs. legacy monolithic single point of failure approach... It's quite possible it is somewhere in between, where there is still one single point of contact for some aspect of the back-end and that one...
Direct charging will charge to 100%. Use the general charging profile, set it to 85%, make sure it is active, make sure "Optimized charging" is selected, not "Preferred charging times." That's it.
You were given bad information. The minimum charge setting in the profile is the SOC the car will attempt to reach immediately upon being plugged in without regard to preferred charging times or timers. Once it reaches that target minimum, then timers, preferred charging times come into play...
These might be related. Some have resorted to shielded bags for key fobs if the keys aren't kept far enough away from the car. Disappointing none the less.
This true, but the charging time for that last 5% - 10% also degrades the battery. Exactly how much - not sure, and we may not know with this particular battery set-up, and you may not realize any capacity loss over the first 2-3 years.
My counter point - what's wrong with charging to 85%...
If the time you checked happened to correspond to the departure time in one of your timers, that might also explain why the battery was pre-heated, to make travel more efficient. I suspect the charging complete notification is part of the most recent app update, assuming you updated your Porsche...
You are not missing anything. Ignore the note about connection to the PCM. All that means is you don't have a WiFi connection to the PCM's WiFi network (which at this time is only good for syncing calendar as best I can tell). The green connection between your phone and Porsche server says your...
"OK" is relevant. If you have a two year lease, charge away - any problems you create will be for the leasing company or next buyer of the car. It's unlikely the capacity loss from charging to 100% 2-3 times per week would manifest before you give back the car. If you are less selfish, or plan...
I assume when looking at the charging screen it shows the expected profile and timer as active? If not, there is a timer or profile problem (for example, the profile or timer isn't selected as active, or the GPS location of the profile is somehow incorrect). If the correct profile / timer show...
Drainage diagnostics - as in charge drainage (the dealer will do something to perhaps evaluate the actual chargeholding capability of the battery)? Or drainage of the battery cooling fluid? Or the HVAC condensate drain hoses? Or the drainage beneath the windscreen exterior?
Considering that EVs...
Wonder if we can get that cut-out as a part? I have MY20 with Bose and have the empty space in the trunk but no cut-out. It could come in handy, maybe (slightly) better than just tossing the PMCC in the frunk. Flip side of that argument is if I'm going on a trip, I might have crap stashed in the...
