I had to order some small microfiber clothes for the screen. With all of the touching and swiping with the video box, the center screen is full of fingerprints. :fingerscrossed:
Mike, I think you are correct about the side and rear signals. I had that issue in a previous car, so I have opted away from insulated glass on my vehicles.
I received a surprise email from Amazon. My MMB box is arriving a week early (tomorrow). Once I get it I'll compare it to the Ubisheng box I installed last weekend.
I just checked the gap between the wheel arch and the tires. My Taycan (with 21 inch Mission E) has a smaller gap than the Porsche Boxster S sitting next to it in my garage. :like:
For the 4S you need to have the Sport Chrono Package option to have the Individual programable setting (note Porsche Electric Sport Sound mentioned below is a separate option)
Includes:
Multifunction GT Sport Steering Wheel including mode switch for selecting drive modes: Range, Normal, SPORT...
@torx - There are Drive Mode, Chassis, and Height. Each of these is preconfigured depending on the Drive Mode selected, but can be temporarily modified until you shut off the power. With the Sport Chrono option you also get Sport Chrono and Individual Drive Modes. Sport Plus in Drive Mode...
Perhaps ask @LukeManning our dealer forum member to ask his service department. It sounds like they didn’t take the car out of Transit mode during predelivery prep.
For those who are relatively new owners these are not simple software downloads from a USB stick. Last year a number of us had the first software updates performed on our Taycans. Depending on the bandwidth at the dealership these were 4-8 hour updates. If I recall correctly the dealership had...
For the first 9 months that I owned my car I used a Timer profile. I had it set to be charged to 85% everyday for a departure time at 4:30 am. When set this way it did not exceed 85% and usually started to charge late at night since it calculates the time required backwards from 4:30 am.
Here...
@kreshi it looks like the one you found converts wired Carplay to wireless Carplay. The MMB and UBISHENG boxes use the Carplay wired interface to download apps from the Google Playstore (including Netflix and Youtube) to the box. The box is an Android box that tricks the Carplay interface to...
Here are images of the checklist from my Taycan's Maintenance manual (US).
Perhaps it is the "Water drain for charging socket: check for contamination and blockage" on the second page.
I ordered both the UBISHENG box and the MMB box through Amazon in the US with 30 days to return. So low risk for to try and return if I'm not satisfied. If I had to order from somewhere else I would be hesitant to do it because of the difficulty to receive a full refund (or to pay a high...
Here is the information from the UBISHENG box. The main reason I ordered the UBISHENG box versus the MMB was that it is using Android 9.0 vs Android 7.0 (MMB).
My car is MY20. I have used the UBISHENG box for several days now. I still have mixed feelings. The touch controls are temperamental (I have found it best to drag the back and stop buttons towards the middle of the screen to work properly). The buffering depends on the quality of the hotspot...
In Normal it will be in second gear unless you hit the pedal aggressively to downshift. If you have the Sport Chrono mode dial on the steering wheel, start driving in Normal up to around 20 mph and then turn the dial to Sport or Sport Plus, you will feel the car shift to 1st.
@amelen - you will not find an aftermarket key fob cover in Mamba Green. Trust me I looked everywhere and ordered some that were green (none of them matched). I finally broke down and got the OEM cover from Suncoast. I highly recommend it. Not only does the color match perfectly, it even has...
I was worried about the same thing and went with the regular glass. I don’t mind the regular glass. FYI @evanevery designed a custom bracket as a solution. Details are on the Modifications section.
@PanameraFrank - thanks for starting this thread. The information is great. For my long distance trips (those that are 6+ hours in length), here is what I am currently doing:
charge the battery to 100% before departure
map out the total trip on ABRP and Plugshare and identify probable EA...
