Just had a call from the dealer. Car has finished production and is loaded onto the ship due to leave for the UK tomorrow. Will be with me first week June.
Will likely be cancelling too given the current situation and am also half way through build with obviously no idea when delivery will be. Will contact my dealer when they are back and see what the response is.
Which dealer are you using? I’m with Porsche Solihull (Sytner) and my build is also supposed to be locked down this week for delivery in March. Will call them tomorrow and find out if anything has changed.
Same boat as you - if it gets pushed back will wait for the 1.5 version in June.
It's the same old question of residuals and whether this is one of the options that most buyers will want. My guess is that due to the pace of advancement in electric cars and especially around range - going for this option will be advantageous. I do agree though - the price being charged does...
UK based here as well. Really been in two minds about it. My dealer said it’s pretty essential especially for re-sale values - but for the small amount of additional miles I’m not convinced. Need to lock down in the next couple of days too. Decisions....
According to my dealer most orders in the UK have this option specified. I do agree though that for the cost and only a small amount of additional mileage it is expensive. It was one of the options I thought about not specifying...
