For what it's worth, note that the olea club leather option includes the interior accents (neodyme etc.) that would cost $650 separately in the U.S. Also, the seat backs are covered in leather with the olea option, although that is not stated in the configurator.
Thanks -- it's always interesting to read about long distance Taycan adventures. Regarding the limited charging rate, was battery saving enabled in your PCM?
Thanks for the article. Given Porsche's other design decisions on the Taycan, I would wager that they came up with a way to use on-board charger waste heat to heat the battery, reducing use of heating elements to do the same. If so, that would be revealed in charging loss comparison tests such...
Huh? Porsche made a very specific claim about hardware differences between the models. This claim is verifiable by third parties (not to mention Taycan owners) who inspect the actual hardware installed in each model. Are you expecting us to believe that Porsche could succeed in such a fraud...
Porsche obsoleted the Charging NA app with the same functionality incorporated into the My Porsche app. That was roughly a year ago. The My Porsche app activates my EA charging sessions the same as with the old Charging NA app. Is the My Porsche app not initiating EA charging sessions for you...
I share your dislike of decals, and sense of humor. That said, the round speed warning decal near the instrument cluster in U.S. markets is a regulatory requirement corresponding to whichever tires come installed on your Taycan. Thank the same forward-thinking bureaucrats who imposed a frontal...

The Taycan WiFi connection only works in Russia according to prior threads.
Here are a couple of prior threads on the topic of cellular network boosters and extenders. Last I checked, Verizon only had a booster, whereas T-Mobile and AT&T had extenders...
Coincidentally, @rs38 just contributed hilarious lyrics on this other thread:

Perhaps not worth the price difference, but note that model year 2021 introduced improved traction battery cell chemistry, and the option for plug-and-charge with 22 kW max AC charging rate.
Here are a couple of reasons to be optimistic about this situation.
First, you'll be upgraded to the latest version of the traction battery, with improved cell chemistry:

Second, Porsche designed the...
Tesla apparently is exploring a business model for their charging stations involving restaurants, so opening up the chargers to other EV brands will bring in more restaurant customers.

First, thanks for describing your Turbo-S experience. Second, what is your concern with the default recuperation setting? The default setting is to coast as much as possible, with recuperation when you press the brake pedal. Sport and Sport+ mode overrride this. The Taycan achieves far greater...
You and your friends and family will get so much more enjoyment and utility out of it post-conversion, and you can keep the original parts in storage to appease any purists. Keeping it original is like not installing plumbing in an old house. Certainly the people who built the house would have...
I drive 850 miles each way several times a year between Florida and Virginia. The Porsche navigation re-routings can be farcical, as you eloquently described. My method is to let the Porsche navigation select the charging stops when I'm departing at full charge, then I disable Porsche navigation...
