Great question! I did 20% for the rear windows and 50% on the front windows. In Minnesota our limit is 50% but I think the CT4 will get away with it since it gives off wagon/cross over vibes, haha. I had a silver car years ago with 30% and really got beat up by the troopers here because of it!
Thank you very much! That is our solar system and it’s 10.2 kW with 32 panels. We originally put it in around 2017 and it’s done around 76 MWh so far. Enough for a few solar powered joy rides!
Unfortunately, that picture was from my sales advisor so I haven’t yet seen it in person. Very cool that you guys have one incoming as well! Is it supposed to be at the dealership? Gentian will look fantastic!
I have finally received proof of life of my CT4. She’s a filthy animal—as she should be for a cross turismo and as one would expect after serving a two month port of Emden jail sentence, lol. It’s all good as this version of the Taycan will see heavy duty cycles transporting children and dogs...
My CT4 hit the dealership yesterday, July 8th. It arrived at port Houston on July 3rd and left port on July 5th. Bit more waiting before I get to collect the car since my work schedule is locked down for the next two weeks, but happy to see it finally arrived at its destination. I have some PPF...
My TYD updated this morning indicating that my CT4 arrived in Houston on 7/3. I hopefully served my full jail sentence in Emden from April 19th - June 14th so maybe it will escape Houston on time. TYD is estimating a 7/8 departure and 7/10 arrival at the dealership. I can still see the dates...
My SA said I’m on the ship Lake Taupo. Dates now show ETA at the dealership on 7/14. My production completed back on April 18th. Hopefully more of us will be escaping the Emden maw soon.
I’m actually in the upper Midwest so my car will probably be coming through Houston. I’ll reach out to my SA to see what boat it might be aboard. Haven’t had a chance to cull through the candidates yet.
I received an update in my TYD today that my Taycan CT4 left port. Anyone else? It’s surprising to me because it wasn’t supposed to go out until around 7/5. Just wondering if anyone else got out of Emden jail today?
That’s what my TYD has started to do. It recently showed the arrival at port as being 6/7 and then just updated to 6/12 today. Sounds like it may be in store for some more shifting before it gets closer to its departure date of 7/5.
Funny enough this car is replacing a vehicle coming off lease...
My CT4 completed production April 18th and according to TYD arrived at Emden April 20th. Received a new TYD update today stating the car again “arrived at port” on June 7th, which is about 50 days from production completing. Now scheduled for Emden departure July 5th on TYD. I assume it was...
My CT4 has been at Emden since 4/20. It was scheduled to leave 5/22 but no dice. Just as an interesting aside my 911T zipped through Emden in like 3 days back in April and was just delivered last Saturday. Build “complete” date on the CT4 was 4/18. Now June delivery—at best, haha. Mysterious...
It’s been interesting to see this issue continue to pop up. I have a cross turismo on the way to replace my sedan and this provokes a small amount of anxiety. I do wonder if this is a car/glass engineering issue unfortunately rather than an adhesive problem or over tightening of the roof rails...
Donkey or goat?! Just posting this thread in hopes that it may help. Not sure if the issues are the same but anytime I see an animal mention in a title I think about my experience with the goat…

I’m not certain but this thread may be relevant. Reminds me of a breaking issue and noise I had with my turbo…

Just speculating here, but using the Audi e-Tron as a basis.
The midcycle refresh of the e-Tron is underway (now e-Tron Q8) and they did increase the energy storage capacity of the battery from ~86 kWh to ~106 kWh (usable I believe) while keeping the same platform so I could possibly see that...
Mine went in for this about 2 months ago and they replaced the master cylinder, break servo and replaced the break fluid. Sounds like they weren’t completely satisfied with the feel after the new parts went in so they performed an additional brake fluid flush, which seemed to solve whatever the...
