I was controlling brake system pumps. It was all about keeping continuous motor current, rather than discontinuous As noise was the big problem when you want to have brake blending and need friction help. I was lucky, only needed to go up to 30A. Nothing like a traction motor drive!

When I was designing high frequency motor drives for an automotive company it was all about current! I just needed drive electronics that didn’t blowup at full current switching at 30kHz. That was the main driving factor. Oh, it also had to work from -40C to 125C.

I’m not sure it’s possible. 0 to to 60 mph in 1.5 seconds! Doing the maths: A Taycan with a 3.5 second 0 to 60 will need to accelerate at about 0.81g over the 3.5 seconds. If this was 1.5 seconds you would need about 1.8g! They would need some very sticky tyres to provide 1.8g level of grip! Or...
