  1. Possible Taycan price cuts

The uk Government(s) have created an absolute 5hit show with EV pricing. We start paying road tax in April iirc, at a time when private buyers need subsidies. I watch with utter astonishment at the ever changing confused messages sent out from 10 Downing St the past few years.
  2. How reliable (or unreliable) are these cars.... really ?!?

That could be a whole world of pain if you do get a Taycan and things start to go wrong with it. And when recall letters start falling through the letterbox. You may as well prep the spare bedroom if you do buy one. ?
  3. "Porsche sports car frozen over after being abandoned and washed onto flooded golf course" - articles

This is my locality. We have now had 3 'once in a hundred years floods' in the last 10 years. The golf course is always flooding as it's built in a flood plane. So my question, would a Taycan float, at least partially, or for a short time? If not, it shows the strength of the current to drag...
  4. How reliable (or unreliable) are these cars.... really ?!?

I had come to the same conclusion.
  5. ARB6 Recall notice UK....

The Sunday Times is generally a decent paper (broadsheet not a tabloid) - although was it here where Giles Coran (sp) berated his i-pace and EV's in general? -which gained a lot of traction as it played into the hands of the EV haters. The most anti EV seem to be The Daily Mail and GB News (not...
  6. Regenerative brake

I used to just press the regen button on the steering wheel straight after pushing the Start button when i got in. 1 second regen / 2 seconds auto. I never found that 2 seconds push of a steering wheel button to be very burdensome tbh.
  7. UK - unable to insure car / home

Well he's a right bundle of fun isn't he. A cynical person may assume that his ex wife has rinsed him - and he is making clickbait videos that appeal to all the EV haters - to try and make a few squid. Obviously not what he's doing........right?!? ........but do press that subscribe button...
  8. How reliable (or unreliable) are these cars.... really ?!?

I never have understood the evolutionary benefit of having hair dissappear from the top of your head to reappear out of your nose, ears and eyebrows as you get older. Maybe it's just gravity? ?
  9. How reliable (or unreliable) are these cars.... really ?!?

This can be a major issue for all Taycan repairs..... The lack of Taycan technicians available when things do go wrong, meaning long waits to even get cars booked in for sevice. I can only see it getting worse with the latest recalls. It will obviously vary by country and dealership, but I...
  10. How reliable (or unreliable) are these cars.... really ?!?

This is a typical country lane where I live.....not great on anything more than 2 wheels, or a tractor. One of the reasons I changed the Taycan, it was a big car for me.
  11. How reliable (or unreliable) are these cars.... really ?!?

Oh what memories you must have ..... sitting in the middle seat for those long journey's with a 'sister' tightly squashed in on either side. ?
  12. How reliable (or unreliable) are these cars.... really ?!?

You may be better looking at independent reliability surveys. Not foolproof, but probably more reliable than browsing forums. The most recent one available for UK. https://www.whatcar.com/news/reliability-survey-most-reliable-electric-cars/n26158
  13. Taycan 4S Warranty extension

I should have updated my last post too. My refund came through just after that last post, without any further chasing. It was nearly £900 and came from Acasta Europe.
  14. New 2025 taycan lost grip - 4 wheel slide

I don't think most people picked up on this post. I think something like 90% of Taycan braking is via regen. So having no regen and new pads / discs bedding in, would provide very sub optimal brake control.
  15. Is Porsche Connect necessary for the WRS0 Workshop Campaign monitoring?

You do wonder why they don't just write that simple paragraph in the letter! People on here are the enthusiasts and we still struggle with it all. God knows what the average Joe makes of it. Or even provide a Web address and have an FAQ there......like other customer focused organisations would.
  16. Porsche advises not to plug or patch tires on Taycan

Do Porsche still say all their cars are designed for the track? I has a base Macan loaner and it was shockingly bad to drive. If you took it on the track you would likely crash it ........due to falling asleep during the lap. And my heavyweight RWD Taycan would also have been a very poor...
  17. ARB6 Recall notice UK....

If you didn't make an issue at the time, I could see them saying you should have tried other dealers and you would have got it booked in. Therefore warranty voided. I would have wanted something in writing from Porsche GB in this instance. .......and I can see it happening a LOT once this...
  18. ARB6 Recall notice UK....

So are you saying that the 2 year service was due in July 2024 and booked in, but can't be done until March 2025 (possibly Feb if you surrender it for 2 months with no courtesy car)? So 8 months late for it's scheduled service? Am I reading that correctly? If so that is insane and very...
  19. The (expected) ARB7 recall letter comes (my THIRD open recall...)

That would be in contrast to the Audi then (post above)?
  20. Do you remember how to drive an ICE vehicle?

But remember.....women are really, really good at multi tasking......and men are useless. That's what we are repeatedly told........and lots of jokes and humour made of it. Unfortunately, all the women I've had relationships with seem to have missed the memo, as I do all the important stuff...
