  1. Getting out of pcp due to consistent faults?

What is the term on the PCP? I thought there was financial regulation allowing you to be able to hand it back under 'voluntary termination' or something, after 50% had been paid???
  2. "Porsche woes mount after botched bet on electric sports cars" - 4 articles

I think this may have a lot to do with the current decision making.... The Porsche-Piëch family, is led by Wolfgang Porsche, who chairs the supervisory boards of Porsche AG and Porsche SE (the family’s holding company) He has grown increasingly concerned about the simmering crises at both VW...
  3. "Porsche woes mount after botched bet on electric sports cars" - 4 articles

My thinking is a lot depends on how much they intend to move back to ICE and how much to PHEV? EV/PHEV sales were recently reported to be growing worldwide, particularly in China...
  4. Rotten egg / sulphur smell

I thought about giving them a list of things not to check, as it was a shorter list. ?
  5. Battery panel scratch - 2021 w/12k miles

Well hopefully this is a turning point with your run of bad luck. Hope things continue to improve for you. ✌️
  6. Porsche not what it once was, is the Taycan a lemon?

I think it's fair to say that the Taycan reliability issues have damaged the overall Porsche brand. That said, the fact that they made an EV which actually still drives like a Porsche, probably helps restore a lot of that lost credibility. It is generally perceived as the best EV out there to...
  7. Need Advice On Lease/Buy/Skip for First Porsche (C.P.O. 2023 Taycan Turbo S, Cross Turismo), ASAP!

You obviously love your car and will keep it no matter what anyone else says. You seem like a really decent guy, but I fear your dealer is taking advantage. To not cover the cracked sunroof in the first week, despite having a Porsche warranty and extra glass insurance is ridiculous. To then...
  8. Need Advice On Lease/Buy/Skip for First Porsche (C.P.O. 2023 Taycan Turbo S, Cross Turismo), ASAP!

I was getting this intermittently and eventually it was on every time i charged on the RH side. Its badly worded. It doesn't mean the actual flap is impaired, it means the port is not working (mine was manual charging flap). It went to the dealer and needed a new charger. Replaced under...
  9. Taycan Problem - potential catastrophic tire failure

That was the same with mine..... I measured the treads with a tyre gauge and they were looking fine. Then i took it in for it's 1st service and was shown the state of the inner shoulder! I was given a not safe to drive advisory. Very fortunate the service was due.
  10. Taycan Problem - potential catastrophic tire failure

Did we ever get a definitive answer about what exactly is causing this tyre wear? The thread is quite old now, with lots of posts for different Taycan models / wheel size / tyres etc......but was there ever a conclusion reached on the cause?
  11. Taycan Extended Warranty

There are two prices. One includes Roadside Assistance. Last Aug I paid £1377?? for 12 months inc Roadside Assistance. I p/x the car in November and got £800+ refund. The rules on refunds are very specific, but worked in my case.
  12. Need Advice On Lease/Buy/Skip for First Porsche (C.P.O. 2023 Taycan Turbo S, Cross Turismo), ASAP!

So has the other super interested buyer suddenly disappeared, or are they so honourable, they are only going to sell the car to you? Or did he not exist in the first place (my bet). With all the dealer BS going on with the lease etc, I would be taking a long pause on this! Find other similar...
  13. Newbie - possibly silly questions

    Previous thread on London/alloys: https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/london-roads-width-restriction-rims-damage.6380/
  14. Stick or Twist? Do I get a replacment Taycan or look elsewhere...

Although not a great seller for BMW at the time, I think they learned a lot about manufacturing EVs with the i3 (and even the i8 as a PHEV sports car). I think its now paying dividends. The ID software has generally been good as well (evolution not revolution). Combine the two and you can see...
  15. Stick or Twist? Do I get a replacment Taycan or look elsewhere...

You did well to sell it back. I have just looked at Approved used and there are currently 734 used Taycans displayed. No idea how many dealers there are, but it must be a fair few per dealer.
  16. Stick or Twist? Do I get a replacment Taycan or look elsewhere...

All the Porsche dealers I tried refused it unless I was p/x for another car from them. My usual OPC said they were swamped with used Taycans. They said their used car buyer does not actually have a phone and he will email me back if he's interested. ? I moved back to BMW who surprisingly gave...
  17. Stick or Twist? Do I get a replacment Taycan or look elsewhere...

From my experience on this forum, I think dealer experience is generally quite geographically sensitive. It certainly seems US members 'overall' can have a better/faster dealer experience than UK members. Not always, as parts sometimes seem slower to get stateside. I sold my Taycan when I was...
  18. High Voltage Battery Recall EXPANDED - ARB6 & ARB7

Just file damages for the amount of time it's been in the dealers. We now have OPC in UK charging £354 ph labour. They obviously think that is a reasonable hourly rate.....so just multiply that over the 8 months.
  19. UK service & costs

I thought £250 ph was excessive. Now we are seeing £350 ph. ? Its a considerable difference in cost between dealerships for any major work. Means you always have to shop around.
