  1. Porsche Extended Warranty late 2021 Taycan

Judging by your recent post @D00notD00d the 111 point check was just a box ticking exercise by the dealer. Would have been 5, but in November I pulled out of buying a demo j1.2, 300 miles away, because on collection the paintwork condition wasn’t as described, the 111 point check doc was a joke...
  2. Has anyone rejected their Taycan after delivery?

Michelin Star prices for basic takeaway pizza service was my final take on it, after using 3 different dealers.
  3. Has anyone rejected their Taycan after delivery?

Uk Porsche dealer network is shockingly bad imo. Worst i have experienced also. Its why I sold my Taycan in the end.
  4. Taycan Problem - potential catastrophic tire failure

From memory........ I think variations of; wheel size and alloy style, tyre brand, model year, model (4s etc), RAS (or not), climate/location have been affected. Even driving style, as some (like me) rarely had the chance to drive the car aggressively. Never tracked. Uncertain on any J1.2...
  5. Taycan Problem - potential catastrophic tire failure

My post from when it happened. https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/taycan-problem-potential-catastrophic-tire-failure.16788/post-258489
  6. Taycan Problem - potential catastrophic tire failure

I had the problem and didn't have rear wheel steering. I also had a RWD without Sport Chrono, so there was no Sport Plus setting and I very seldom used it in Low ride height or Range mode.
  7. Think about buying a Porsche taycan for a daily driver

Depreciation on my Taycan was about normal from my car ownership experience. I usually assume depreciation of about 50% over 3 years ownership. Bought it new in Aug 2021 and p/x for a BMW in Nov 2024 for about 50%. But that's UK and OP is in the US, so probably irrelevant.
  8. Think about buying a Porsche taycan for a daily driver

I wonder whether used EV prices have bottomed out. The stats (UK) certainly suggest so..... https://www.smmt.co.uk/used-ev-market-enjoys-record-uptake-as-one-in-25-buyers-switch-over-summer/ In my view, all we need is a spike in the price of oil and I can see people regretting not buying one in...
  9. Buy a Taycan, get a base Macan for free!

Maybe so, but only until the BMW iX3 Neu Klasse arrives in spring. That appears to have upped the game significantly in this class.
  10. 5 serious issues in 13 months.. normal?

I've owned dozens of cars over the last 40+ years. Quick brain dump...... Golf R, GTI's, V6 4motion, VR6, R32s, Audi S3s, S4, A4, BMW M2, Fiat Coupe 20v turbo, Celica ST, Scirocco Storm, VW Corrado, Honda CRX's.....etc etc. Even a 5hitty Ford XR2! Never had a single recall on any of them till...
  11. Battery state of health on used models

The EU have got the right idea on this imo.... Regulation Implementation Date Who is affected? EU Carbon Reporting 2025 New batteries must declare carbon footprint. EU Battery Passport Feb 2027 New EVs must have a QR code for SOH/Life data. Euro 7 Standards 2027–2028 New cars must meet...
  12. Battery state of health on used models

I would tell them to stick it and go elsewhere. Makes me wonder if the car has some kind of history and they want you to buy it blind.
  13. 5 serious issues in 13 months.. normal?

Last year when my Taycan was due in at the dealers yet again, it actually led to me selling it as I couldn't get an appointment or a loan car for 3 months. I decided to go and see them about it as I really wasnt happy. The service manager said they always have way more Taycans in than all the...
  14. Ford vs Porsche and “other drivers”

Similar situation in the UK.... I've specifically noticed it since they changed some of the motorways from 3 to 4 lanes (by converting them to Smart Motorways, turning the hard shoulder into a lane). Now all the people who used to trundle along in lane 2 regardless of condirions or traffic...
  15. 5 serious issues in 13 months.. normal?

I would say maybe a bit worse than average, but not much. Taycan has been at, or near bottom of reliability EV ratings. Previous thread: https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/taycan-is-the-least-reliable-of-all-evs.19718/
  16. Ford vs Porsche and “other drivers”

What a very strange post..... Threatened, insecure people showing off their smallness by daring to challenge you in your great Macan. I hope you tell them to their face every chance you get.
  17. ICE Boxster/Cayman will return!!

Porsche strategy on EVs makes me think of the person who bought big into the stockmarket at the top of the boom and is now going to sell up, just as its bottoming out.
  18. Complete brake failure !!

I had the same issue and also had the brake hose recall done.
  19. Taycan Problem - potential catastrophic tire failure

I don't think there was ever any definitive answer to this..... It happened across Taycan models/tyres size and brands/geographical locations/climates etc. Mine for one was not caused by speed bumps (as I don't encounter many). I think the only conclusion was that driving in lowered settings...
  20. Taycan Problem - potential catastrophic tire failure

Tyre inner shoulders/sidewall should automatically be checked every time a Taycan is in at the dealers imo - as its so common and so dangerous. And it is a known issue. When it first happened on mine I was very surprised, but the dealer said its a regular occurrence. Normally the dealers can't...
