  1. Porsche unable to engineer a reliable heater?

Top tip: I used to put the toaster on its side and use a cheese slice for cheese on toast. Ever so slightly off topic. 😅
  2. UK Government considering new tax on EV drivers in Budget (According to BBC and Telegraph)

I am wondering what the next lot (Reform?) will do, as I think Starmer / Labour are toast after the Budget. It seems Reeves has nowhere to go without royally pi55ing off every sector of society. Unfortunately, I don't think Reform are any more pro EV/ESG.....in fact probably less so.
  3. UK Government considering new tax on EV drivers in Budget (According to BBC and Telegraph)

Plus 20% VAT on public charging. That said, ICE drivers are likely to get clobbered next April also, if they reinstate the 5P/litre fuel escalator in the Budget, which was suspended with Ukraine war.
  4. Intelligent Octopus Go

I don't have an Anderson, but got the same email as I was also having issues with IOG and we need to use the same charger for the wife's BMW PHEV also (I now have a BMW i4 M50). I added my car back onto Octopus. Then we set the evse to charge 11.30-05.30 only. Set both cars to immediate/Direct...
  5. Intelligent Octopus Go

Mine used to change to the set level (say 80%) on the first night. But if I left it plugged in, it would then charge to 100% the next night. I seem to remember others saying similar on here.
  6. Dual Charging Port Errors

I had issues with mine when I first got it with my EVSE cable being quite stretched. Constant red lights and failing to initiate every time I tried to home charge. I posted on here and found if I held the cable in place to reduce tension, it would lock in correctly and then charge alright.
  7. Heater Replacement Wait Time

This is exactly my experience. Phone Porsche Assist (AA) and get it taken in when its next misting up. It will then become a priority. Porsche Assist will arrange a loaner (Enterprise). They will usually say its going to be something decent (it is class based) - and when you get there it is...
  8. Heater failure

I was thinking the drop in range may just be the onset of winter, as it affects all EVs. But you say temperature is similar. Maybe have a look at your personal miles/kwh achieved over time rather than using the guessometer. In the UK I see about 20% swing summer to winter. Regarding rejecting...
  9. Heater failure

There are many heaters failing constantly. Someone reported he is on his 5th heater on here. Do a search for 'heater' and have a look at some of the most recent posts. Hopefully they can fix yours faster than they can in the UK, due to a shortage of Taycan trained technicians here. I...
  10. UK Government considering new tax on EV drivers in Budget (According to BBC and Telegraph)

Most on here will pay, but all the other schemers and dodgers wont. Just like they don't have insurance and MOT etc. So it will be the usual case of Honest Joe paying, Dodgy Joe evading....... and getting no punishment when caught as they have ADHD and there Grandad died 14 years ago, which...
  11. UK Government considering new tax on EV drivers in Budget (According to BBC and Telegraph)

I've always felt like I was on borrowed time with cheap home charging. But what about people who are charging in the wild and paying VAT, where cost is already similar or more expensive than fuel. Surely this need addressing at the same time? If its more expensive to own an EV, people wont buy...
  12. Porsche unable to engineer a reliable heater?

Porsche 'service' is a joke nowadays. I would imagine it may be worst in class, from my personal experience. And I thought they had fixed the heater with a redesign a couple of years back, but obviously not. Anyone know what the cost is for replacing the heater, out of warranty? Item cost and...
  13. Porsche 3rd Quarter 2025 Financial Results

Porsche has one other ace up its sleeve in the e-fuels, which could be a winner if it works out (a big 'if'). But the more i think about my personal (UK) experience, the more I think there should be an easy fix..... My service experience was the worst I have had for any car. It was no better...
  14. Porsche 3rd Quarter 2025 Financial Results

Interesting statement from the recent results on future direction of travel: Porsche would also focus more on making its cars “more individual, exclusive and desirable”, said the CFO. So that's the route they state they are now taking......which I interpret as selling more premium models, with...
  15. Porsche 3rd Quarter 2025 Financial Results

..... and providing a bit of customer service wouldn't go amiss (from my personal experience) either. Never explaining or apologising when things go t1ts up (as they do) is not a good sign. It's a sign of arrogance and outdated/misplaced superiority in my book.
  16. Porsche 3rd Quarter 2025 Financial Results

There are plenty of facts, info and (official Porsche) statements in this Reuters piece yesterday. Crisis-hit Porsche plunges to $1.1 billion quarterly loss - https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/porsche-swings-11-billion-quarterly-loss-crisis-deepens-2025-10-24/
  17. Yellow Electrical System Error - Service Required

By sheer coincidence, someone just posted that they are on their 5th heater. https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/another-heater.31017/

  19. Extended Warranty Pricing from Porsche - 2025

I don't think it's any coincidence that they are suddenly using the phrase 'ageing' instead of 'fault'. Even when it's a dormant manufacturing fault. You did well getting a complete new battery after 4 years! Does the replacement battery get a new 8 year warranty from 2024?.
  20. Yellow Electrical System Error - Service Required

I wonder if 4 is a record for heaters on here? I only had 3.
