Once my Waze froze - screen was not blank but the map stopped updating. I thought it was because my phone was overheating but maybe you're right, maybe it was a carplay thing. But I've never had a problem on initial connect.
I don’t know. It’s good for me because I use Spotify. Although that does hiccup occasionally through wireless it’s very very minor.
PS you didn’t ask but I’m impressed by the fact that wireless CarPlay has never failed to automatically connect for me
While using wireless CarPlay & Waze it seemed to be using about as much power as it was getting. So phone didn't charge to 100% but it wasn't going down either.
Sorry, but a LaFerrari weighs the same as a US i8 and has a V12. That’s the other thing about BMW - they invested a lot in carbon fiber yet their cars are still heavy. Obviously LaFerrari is much more expensive but I’m not asking for a V12, even an I6 would’ve made people happy.
TBC I used to...
Would you really prefer it the way it was or with an M engine? A blind man could see that that would've been an instant classic. BMW was so close but then totally squandered the opportunity to make it a car people would buy or dream about. Shouldn't their goal be to produce desirable...
I don't see that quote but it's BS, it's 0.1 seconds slower, the difference is just due to the bigger battery being standard on the wagon and they are comparing to sedan with smaller battery.
For me the i8 was oddly missing features like heated steering wheel (more efficient than heating the whole cabin), blind spot monitoring (missing in a car of the future? really?) and even super basic things like memory seats. Not to mention the performance didn't back up the looks.
P.S. It...
My understanding is at slow speeds the "Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System" dominates, and that's required by regulations on every electric car: https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/products/taycan/sound-18556.html
I have RAS and don't have this problem at all. Did you modify you car?
Also, I have never heard anyone say "it's double wishbone unfortunately" before. Seriously. Also, the rear suspension is in fact multilink (although set up similarly to double wishbone).
I've heard someone say that before but that sounds weird. Isn't the sensor in the rear bumper corner? I've not only removed but replaced the side mirrors on my Macan with LCA with no issues.
