That's the scary part. SU7 is the first car Xiaomi ever build, we can argue all we want comparing against Tayan, but that's just say SU7 is okay, but not great.
It took Taycan 6 years to improve from J1.1 to J1.2. Xiaomi is going to release refreshed version this year, 2 years after original...
If you remove the badge, and ignore the price difference. SU7 is a better (not all) car in many ways.
Electrify, exterior style and brand prestige were the main reasons I owned my first Porsche. Now I've owned a couple Taycan. The urge of owning another Porsche definitely not as high as...
That's the sad part. Porsche as a premium sports brand used to be more to a car and including the faster and quicker speed. The most important part of the sports car lost to a car that's half the price and can drive by itself (supervised)
Porsche locked MY2028 in early 2026, so no major design change for next 1.5 years. It already outdated by the time they released it in late 2027. This is why Porsche is losing to new start up car companies.
For me, it started when BMW released e36 M3 in 1992, it was such a nice looking front bird cage compare with regular 3 series. Then everyone starts get crazy with this design..... 😞
I got "Take over steering" message few times a week in all kinds of condition with none of assistant were enabled, including in the middle of changing lanes. I've tried to search the solutions but nothing works.
My solutions is get a J1.2, I don't recall I've seen the message again, I almost...
I was hoping the connectivity will restore by itself, waited almost 6 weeks then decided to schedule a service appointment.
They reset the system, no parts replaced. The connectivity is back to normal and the PCM is running smoothly again.
Almost zero driver exercise "overtaking" lane in the US, especially in California. It's not even a thing, slow drivers drive on any lane they like, absolutely don't care they are blocking the cars behind them.
I have the opposite experience. I normally drive in the fast lane and I feel other drivers will move out of my lane and let me pass when I'm driving a Taycan. Not all the time, maybe once or twice a week.
I recently tried my Tesla with FSD 14.2.1 from my garage to Tesla supercharging station, it picked the spot and back in to the space perfectly, completely end to end FSD.
If it's a DMV test, FSD will score better than most human. The drive feels natural, hard to tell it's not driving by...
Most noticeable difference is range and L3 charging speed.
Slightly faster acceleration is great.
PCM is faster, connect to wireless CarPlay is faster and more reliable for the first few months.
Soft closing door is nice. It's overall a better car.
Currently at the shop for repair no internet...
It cleans the rubber and make it normal color again, and stay black for a while, but it will come back eventually. I googled it when it happened to my ex-Taycan, but I haven't experienced on J1.2 yet.
If you're worry about the rubber get dry, apply rubber Seal Protectant after cleaning.
One thing I noticed is whenever I talk to Porsche about a issue, they always seem like it's one off and they've never heard of the problem before. I believe they are trained to respond this way.
I just saw the first Gravity today, the actual vehicle looks nicer than the picture.
The rear of the SUV is lower than it looks in the photo, and it doesn't looks like a van at all.
