I don't think Porsche will ever go away in our lifetime, but if they can't compete in the next generation of high-tech vehicles, their market share will shrink, and becomes more like a niche brand.
I used to believe about more shops and cheaper battery when there are more EVs available.
I stopped believe this comment after owning EVs for 10+ years. Living in one of the most dense EV city in SoCal, there are only a few mom and pop shop that can handle EV battery. The cost is slightly...
Yes on 911 and high-end vehicles to keep Porsche prestige German made status.
It's really not that important for all Porsche made in German. When Toyota, MB, BMW start to build cars in North America, many buyers had the same concern initially, but after a few years, no one really cares now.
You should get AC checked. One thing I love about Taycans is the AC is so much cooler and so much quicker to reach to the interior temperature set.
I had windows problems on all windows on '22 Taycan, it works well most of the time, but acted funny sometimes. I have not experienced any issue...
I wouldn't say Porsche is behind, I think Porsche is on par or maybe better compare with other traditional car companies, but all of them are left in the dust compare with startups that build their EVs with technology in mind.
I think BMW Neue Klasse will be a huge improvement over their...
I will continue to use Tesla app.
EA charger status on Porsche app is always wrong, the worst I've seen is Porsche app show all spots open, but when I drove by, there is a long line waiting.
I use EA app to check charger status which get updated status within a minute in real time.
Try Ontario or Riverside, although it's ~40 miles from Irvine, but from what I learned from others with the same issue, it's going to take weeks or months until you get your car back.
Millennials and younger generations grow up with technology, they are the future of Porsche. Especially the wealthy groups, they dump old tech faster than anyone else.
Japanese dominate car market due to reliability not technology, Porsche almost went bankrupt back in early 1990s. They adopted Japanese lean manufacturing techniques and improve reliabilities on the new models.
Chinese is dominating the technology, not just the fancy apps and entertainment...
Not sure exactly what you mean, but maybe you confused EA vs EVGo?
EA uses alphanumeric for their charging stations, EVGo uses names from Latin origin.
These EA stations are operated by EA not IKEA, my charging session was free for the first 30 minutes.
IKEA garage closes around 9:30-10PM...
I believe the depreciation will be less severe when the tax incentive is gone.
When you can buy/lease a new EV with $7500 tax incentive, it already make the value of a new car $7500 less than MSRP.
California could replace the gas tax with a mileage-based user fee charged to drivers who use the roads.
I received an email to participate in 2024, but i didn't sign up.
I've been monitoring CPO for few years. For the specs, condition, and mileage of this Taycan, $57k is a pretty good price. I personally will look for performance plus battery, but it's personal choice.
Here is a popular site for Tesla supercharger info. https://supercharge.info/map
Tesla is for Tesla vehicle only.
NACS is for all vehicles that are approved using North America charging standard.
