Hi:
I have a GTS on order -- I should see it in late December or early January.
My wife, the CFO of the family, wants me to run some numbers on the cost of ownership. Right now, I drive a 2015 BMW M4 convertible -- I bought it used in early 2018 for $54k, and it's worth ~$32k as a trade-in...

Hi All:
I have a GTS on order, and delivery is expected by late December (ordered Dec, '21). My family is me, my wife, who is 5'8" and my 15 year old son. When I ordered the car, my son was pretty small. He was 5'3", 100 lbs. Fast forward one year later, and he is 5'9.5", 150, and starting for...
Interesting update: For the last 3 months, TYD has been saying the car is production complete and ready for transport to Emden, date: 7/11. Beyond that, all it said was on a ship in November and delivery, 12/9. Suddenly, in the last hour, it says "Arrival at Emden Port, 9/22" Complete and on...
This is all with reference to US cars.
It seems some folks have more recent GTS builds that are scheduled for delivery in the US this fall. My GTS was ordered in Dec '21, built in June, and is sitting at the factory or port, not scheduled for delivery till December. The delays are irritating...
you can always go buy a tesla. My VP of sales bought on to drive in the carpool lanes -- but 6 the car was picked up 6 times in the first year by Tesla as the car had lots of problems.
Ordered GTS on 12/09/2021. Expected delivery, 12/09/2022. I keep coming to the forum to get my fix of Taycan info and Porsche energy. Unfortunately, I end up leaving frustrated and bumped! I need my car!!!
Thank everyone, despite the frustration, it's a pleasure absorbing the positive energy!
Ahh -- so the "New Software" for '23 is really just the software delivered with the car. Waiting is painful -- I can't believe people are getting '23's and my '22 is sitting, waiting for transport to Emden. 91 days till I get it.
I'm seeing various reports on the range with the new software upgrade. I say one that said the GTS 2023 was up around 323. I'm waiting on a GTS 2022 (how are there 2023 when 2022s are still stuck at port???). Will I get that new software and the increased range?
Feel free to point me to an...
Not exactly relevant, but I have an M4 Hard top convertible, 2015. I love it, but was planning on selling it when I get my Taycan (GTS). When lat at the BMW dealer, my service guy suggested I keep the M4 --He said they could not give the 2022 M4 convert away due to the ugly front end and the...
Hi: I'm moving from a BMW M4 convertible (2015) --> Taycan GTS. But I live in San Francisco -- tight driving, bad roads. I drive a lot out of the city, so just wondering about the Taycan driving experience in a big city -- especially from anyone who was originally in a smaller sports car.
I agree that Porsche does not care, and in Marin County, the dealer definitely does not care. Looking at TYD, my car is sitting in the port -- it is scheduled to sit there for 5 months! Very frusturating!
Interesting that on the TYD website, it says ~12/9/22, but on the mobile app, it says it's passed through Benicia (port of entry for California cars?). I asked my dealer, and she said that it might be in port (US), then said, 'who knows,' and hang tight. How can Porsche be this disorganized -- I...
I'm not at all comfortable taking the Year 2022 in December or possibly in 2023. I get this is mostly out of their hands, but I'm still paying full price -- feels like there needs to be some accommodation for Porsche. Thoughts?
