? PCM 6 Update Announcement [Update: Retrofit Being Explored For Existing Taycans]

Agreed :) Now looking at the partnumers, and taking revisions into account. I'm also inclined to believe that...at least...the 2022 models will get the software update sometime soon. Three weeks...should go by quite fast :)

? PCM 6 Update Announcement [Update: Retrofit Being Explored For Existing Taycans]

I just received my car....and...although my VIN-number stated that my car had the PAD mainunit. After checking in the PCM settings menu...it states that the system has a 9J1 035 070 AG mainunit! This probaly means that the whole PAD partnumber-thing is irrelevant. Atleast in regards to it being...

? PCM 6 Update Announcement [Update: Retrofit Being Explored For Existing Taycans]

Ahh... understood. I have seen this from time to time indeed, but not very common on infotainment-related parts where i mostly work. Not sure what this means...or why they do this.

? PCM 6 Update Announcement [Update: Retrofit Being Explored For Existing Taycans]

My initial thoughs was also that the PAD was a sign that they somehow would try to cordinate the partnumbers or something...but now I'm not so sure.... Also i beleive the 1K0 907 951 is not a generic partnumber. The first three digits indicates it as having been used first on the (1K) VW Golf...

? PCM 6 Update Announcement [Update: Retrofit Being Explored For Existing Taycans]

Thats actually the first thing i checked when i came across the PAD partnumber... But it turns out the Audi e-tron GT stil has not received an updated partnumer. So...seemingly hasnt received any significant hardware refresh. But just to confirm your thinking....many brackets and other parts on...

Curious to see Everyone's Automotive Journey That Lead You to the Taycan (pic heavy)...

Indeed! And I agree, except that the Euro and JDM versions had an engine (3SGE) that liked higher revs than the engine the US got (the 5SFE AFAIK), so although not fast in todays terms...in those days...it actually held up quite well. I ended up in the Audi by accident myself, and haven't...

Taycan To The Arctic Circle Road Trip 2022

Thanks for the update. Keep em comming :) Indeed.... In my opinion...this is the best way to experience driving on snowcovered roads....temperature a bit on the minus side...or colder...(10-30 is perfect) ...a car that is on the heavy side...and with a low center of gravity....with warm...

Nice! That's "a tad more" than your standard" "cabin with exterior view" i notice? :D Thanks for the U-955 refrence. I was not aware of it, and it's history...and indeed that it is placed outside of Kiel harbour.

Taycan To The Arctic Circle Road Trip 2022

One thing that crossed my mind to tell you, is that there are two "main" roads from Oslo to Trondheim, and it might be significant which route you take depending on the weatherconditions. On the map below, I've marked out rather crudly what i mean by this. On any map of Norway you'll find that...

Couldnt agree mote....and also I'd add that studded tires are not very common in Norway at least until you get to the northern parts of Norway. Living in the middle of Norway I stopped using them in the early nineties, as that is when i personally feel that the technology of studless wintertires...
