For those of you who have had this for a while now, do you still like it?
I'm trying to decide between this and the OEM hard cargo liner. I like that this one doesn't cover the tie-down points, though I'm not sure how much I'd actually use them...
Did you ever end up finding this out?
I'm trying to pick which trunk and frunk liner to go with. Thinking for the floor mats I might do OEM to match color of my interior
Yep if you really want it just have the dealer install it. You can shop around at other dealers to see what variance they might have...
It's funny, I know this option is very "love or hate it" from previous discussions. When we test drove we barely noticed it when turning it on (maybe it didn't...
From other posts I've seen here, what you are saying seems consistent. It's apparently very laborious to get it installed after the fact.
I passed on the electric sports sound in favor of a bunch of other options, and hopefully don't regret it.
It’s wild to me that it has to be a question for this type of preparation to be made. Fundamentally there is no care, courtesy or respect for people’s time or satisfaction, nor a semblance of logistical wherewithal in absence of this sorta thing. Is that a theme?
I'm financing - SFFCU has 0.99% APR for a 1 year term, so just spreading out the cash over a year instead of all-at-once.
I'm planning to PPF and keep the car long term, so not leasing...
I guess the site works, but it is just stuck on,
"The next milestone is in sight
Stay tuned for more details. Your dream is about to reach the next milestone."
Did your status update from "Your Vehicle Has Left the German Port"?
I’m in the “Same boat” ;). My TYD stopped updating and keeps Erroring out as of a few days ago, but the Glovis Clipper has left Benicia, so hopefully our cars are at the port lol.
Anyone get any updates? I wonder if it’s just my TYD busted
Not this person, but I did land on the Thinkware U3000- my rationale was it seems similar to the BlackVue, but uses a better camera and has some sort of optimized parking mode where it uses lower power and turns on the camera based on radar.
Might just be a gimmick, but I’ll find out when I get...
I agree with you on washing your hands of it at this point. My rationale is if anything goes wrong once you get the car, you will be extra bitter about not taking the “out” when you had it.
to be clear I say this as someone awaiting a new car myself but that didn’t have to deal with your flavor...
Update - I'm actually leaning towards the Thinkware U3000 - anyone go with this?
Seems like they have an "energy saving" parking mode, and it has better picture quality than the Blackvue and FitcamX (though not as good as the Viofo)... the only thing I can tell is, given it ships with an OBD-II...
I assume they all fit, it's just how they market them?
Disclaimer that I don't know anything, but looking at that example CT-only tire, and the Spyder tire that's not available on CT, but on ST and sedans, they look like they have all the same measurements and specs other than ZR and R tires...
I was reading through all the posts here - https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/fitcamx-dashcam-installation.7253/ [edit - fixed the link]
I specifically want parking mode, and a slightly higher quality image. Per some posts there like @tchavei , it looks like you need to get separate fuse...
