I have not tested this specifically, however, I have put an EA charger destination into Porsche NAV and don't recall any noticeable increase in battery temp upon arrival. Are you saying that if Porsche NAV has a recognized network charging station set as a destination the battery should...
I'm at 35K miles and changed the cabin filter and wiper blades myself about the same time as the brake line recall (23K miles). My service rep did a service reset to 43K miles as part of the last battery-related recall. They also did a full inspection. Zero cost.
The functionality definitely needs to improve. I've found myself setting a fictitious route that intersects the charging point I want sometimes works. @PDAZ is right. A shortfall that needs to be improved. I hope @chun is right about a fix.
In the event of a total loss, you're correct. Loss of value comes into play when they repair the vehicle. When you try to sell it, the previous accident shows up in the Carfax or another search and the value of your car is discounted accordingly. Loss of value is a common component of a...
I ran into this when someone hit my prior Cayenne. Also Progressive. Went to KBB and did an estimate on the car saying no accidents, then repriced with an accident. Do it with one or two other sites and look at the differences. Then, depending on what those numbers show, present the most...
I have a somewhat similar issue with a different charger type. Suddenly, the timing and profile data is completely ignored. Anytime I plugged the charger into the car it began to charge immediately as if it were in a direct charging status. I changed nothing on the Settings for either profile or...
I'm batting .500 at Tesla compatible chargers. First time went without a hitch. Second time, at a different location, I tried three different chargers and kept getting a "connection lost" errors on the app. Had to detour to an EA site to fill up.
update: reset didn’t work. When I plug in for a delayed start (off peak power) it immediately starts charging. If I switch to direct for a couple of minutes and go back to the timer/profile, it goes into a wait state suggesting it will resume at the later time. Unfortunately, it never...
I routinely charge at home using a "Home 10PM-5AM" profile linked to an "85% 5:00 AM" Timer. This cycle has worked consistently for the past two years until Ib returned from an extended road trip this week (charging at EA, Rivian, and an abortive attempt at Tesla using the new Porsche...
My J1.1 has started behaving this way the last two times I did a time slot charge to 85%. Went right past 85% to 100%. No change to profile or timers, but several 3rd party charging sessions while on the road. Just another mystery to deconstruct... but dang, the car is fun to drive.
I've done both pre and non conditioning on my 2021. I agree with pio that the Porsche NAV app is too rigid when it comes to picking charging locations. If I want to pick a stop that the NAV won't recognize, I find myself playing "destination roulette" to fake it into selecting a site. Pretty...
I had my first Rivian charger experience last week in Wickenburg, AZ. Previously, going to Vegas, had to hoof it all the way to Kingman. Very pleasant Kingman location right across the street from the public library (clean rest rooms) in the downtown area. Painless plug - pay and charge...
I can only speak to the Redline 360c. Love it. Sensitivity is off the charts and I can confirm that laser detection works well. I’m using a BlackVue 970 with it and no problems.
Be sure to check the Tesla app for the chargers' compatibility at your local spot. There are a lot of Tesla locations that are not yet on their "adapter" network and they will not connect. Use the map on their app to verify.
