Good news today. You were right and I had misunderstood my sales rep. Frozen Blue is indeed available and the panels are on the way to my Porsche center. Will go for Frozen Blue if the panels look good :)
I would also like to get Frozen Blue but have not seen it on a panel yet. Furthermore my sales rep here in Norway said it wont be available until week 25 next year and there is no way I will wait that long.
I'm sure Model 3 is a decent car but the interior alone scares me way off. After driving Porsches for many years there's no way I would give up the feeling of virtually sitting in a fighter cockpit with all the important instruments right in front of me.
As far as charging infrastructure goes...
I will find out for sure when I go to the Porsche festival at Rudskogen racetrack in Norway on 14th of september. Porsche Norway have invited all reservation holders to take a closer look at the real thing. I might drive my 991.2 over there so I can compare them pretty much "back to back" :)
Ha ha, make the red line parallel to the bottom of the tires or the building and you will get a different result ;)
The fact that the Taycan will be higher than the 911 doesn't bother me too much as I'm at an age where a slightly higher seat position probably will be better for me anyway :)
I don't think anything has changed, but the pictures of the Sedan mule with Panamera Sport Turismo cladding in this thread doesn't look much like the nice Cross Turismo prototype, I think it looks more like a hearse
The specifications for Mission E states a height of 1,30m which is pretty much the same as the 911.
But from the pictures of the test cars it's pretty clear that it will be more like the Panamera (1,42m)
I hope the supposed weight of 2000 kg is true, I was afraid it would weigh in at 2200 kg.
2000 kg is the same as a Panamera Turbo and that one doesn't feel too heavy when driving it.
Hopefully they can shave off even more weight on the future GTS model.
All the pictures posted so far is the Taycan Sedan mule with ugly Panamera Sport Turismo type styling.
The Cross Turismo is a compact SUV, I thought everyone knew that by now.
It's not the size of the battery I'm worried about, the range will be plenty enough for my needs including my trips in Europe provided I can find fast chargers where and when I need them. No my problem is that they cut the max charge rate from 350 to 250kW. This tells me they have discovered...
This last bit of "news" might well be the final straw that puts me in the waiting room for at least another year, maybe more. The reduced charging rate in itself doesn't bother me much. 250 kW is fast enough and I wasn't planning on charging with more than 150 kW anyway. The problem is that this...
