I have the car set to stop charging at 85%. There is nothing to manage on either app. You can use either app to see whether charging is still active but that...
I started this thread in January 2024 when my new car Porsche Connect subscription expired. After nearly a year I have no regrets. If the Porsche service had the same or better functionality and feature updates as Tesla I would reconsider. Porsche is missing the boat on this.
The PDCC suspension on the Taycan is one of its great strengths. I live in a city with a lot of old brick roads and the Taycan is more composed and comfortable on these roads, and over speed bumps, than my wife's MB S560. Yet, the Taycan still drives like a true sports car.
Interesting take. I am nearing 4 years with a 2021 4S and share the exact same praise and complaints. Great to drive, interior ergonomics questionable, lane keep assist worthless, stop&go adaptive cruise control excellent, etc. You would think Porsche would have fixed these known issues with the...
I recommend a used Taycan 4S with all performance options. I have had one for nearly 4 years now and continue to love it.
I test drive cars frequently, always looking for something I like better.
Every time I think I may be bored and need a new car fix, I drive the Taycan and wonder how...
I have the noise cancelling glass option. There has been zero noticeable impact on cell service or a garage door opener over nearly 4 years of use. Toll transponder also works perfectly.
As to driving dynamics and enjoyment you won't be able to tell the difference between the '23 and the '25. Show the dealer the depreciation on the '23 and tell him you will lease it for two years for $1,000 per month. When the dealer declines, walk out and wait for a phone call.
Interesting perspectives. When I ordered my 2021 Taycan 4S I selected all the performance options and none of the exterior cosmetic options (which I can't see while driving).
Your build is very complete as to performance options which I endorse.
I enjoy my 2021 4S every time I get in it. It has all the performance options then available. I is a blast to drive.
I don't need faster acceleration. I don't need more range. I don't need faster DC charging. I don't need to spend more money.
The angled center stack is too wide and too high. Those with long legs (your talking to him now) are not comfortable leaning their right leg against the stack.
Porsche has acknowledged that all the complicated turbo and electric tech was only done to maintain performance while meeting ever more stringent world wide emissions requirements.
We are no longer buying sports cars. We are buying overly complicated vehicles built to meet regulatory...
There are two reasons I am keeping my 2021 4S. One, I love to drive it (I have all the suspension goodies and rear wheel steer). Two, it depreciated so fast I feel obligated to run it into the ground.
