Rear Wheel Steering? - I love it, but maybe it's OK to skip on a RWD if you're trying to keep the price down. It would be criminal to not add it (and every other performance feature) to a fancier Taycan model. Now those tiny EU parking garages? Maybe RWS is a necessity even on a base model...
There are quite a few "good" foam cannons, but even more bad ones - including most of those that come for free with inexpensive pressure washers.
I started out with one of the cheap ones, which I liked, but switching to a good one was a revelation. I use...
Since you may have just started down the rabbit-hole of the wall-mounted and ready to go pressure washer world, I highly recommend three things, if you don't already have them:
1) A de-ionizing system like https://crspotless.com/products/diw-20-high-output-wall-mounted for "spot-free" rinsing...
Oh, and speaking of annoying/funny: After receiving the Porsche recall in the mail, I got an email from my dealer imploring me to make a recall appointment. I called, and the Service department had no idea that the dealership had sent out such an email, and said they'd call me when they had...
Good to hear that Toyota is (perhaps) getting serious about EVs. Their next move should be the really really cute new Prius, but full EV, with say a 60KWH solid state batter and a $35K price point.
Nope, or maybe yes if you 55 mph hypermile it like a Prius, which would be no fun at all. Just do a fifteen minute coffee break along the way, at a charging location.
They seem to be LESS crowded, at least in my recent experience. Whenever I see a full EA station, I look nearby and seem to find plenty of other options, using those oddball charge accounts I otherwise never use.
Below, just for fun, is a screenshot of Taycan-compatible, 50KW+, non Plugshare...
First: Yes, owning an EV but not a home charger is not a good plan.
Second: The above map looks like JUST the Electrify America chargers, full of folks using their free charging. Create a few accounts with the other charger brands (annoying that we have to do this) and availability suddently...
My dealer, also in the US, tried to add this extra cost at the last minute, and also insisted that it was already installed and implied that it was not optional. But of course it is optional, since it's added by the dealer, not Porsche. I responded that I didn't ask for it, didn't want it, would...
I am thinking that it's the tires. I imagine a Turbo S, even pre-tune, having enough HP and torque that performance summer tires are a necessity for maximum acceleration. And you are in California, right? Who needs all-season tires in California, except for your ski car.
Compared to my 2023:
Even faster charging. Always nice, but I'm good at 200KW.
DC fast charging stops at the setpoint, not 100%, just like other EVs. Now I'm jealous!
I have all of the tools and experience needed to address something like this on my car, if it happened. I could probably evaluate and fix it in ten minutes, saving maybe $150 worth of detailer time.
But if I didn't have the tools and experience, and I messed it up, I'd cause thousands worth of...
If I'm doing it wrong then please correct me: I use the Park button always and the on/off button pretty much never. Arriving somewhere, I put the car in Park, get out, and lock the doors. That's it. Should I be turning the car off for some reason?
If they can stay in business long enough to build their Gen2, and it's better looking and better put together than the current generation, I will seriously consider Lucid, their amazin efficiency being quite important to me. Good on them for their technical achievements.
Confirmed, I get the same and it's normal. I describe it as a "rather subtle metallic rubbing sound" when using the mechanical brakes only, for example when first braking after several days of non-use. It's audible, definitely, but quiet enought that you would not hear it in an ICE car that had...
