Tips/products for light scratch removal

I caused a small scruff opening a car door onto my Taycan’s car door. It’s lightly noticeable, not a deep scratch more like a scruffiness/smudging of the clear coat. Normally I wouldn’t do anything about these but because I caused the scratch I have to fix it. Recommendations of any products from the forum?

Clay bar it first to remove any paint transfer. Then, determine if it’s just in the clear, down to the paint or beyond.

If not deep, use the fingernail test to understand how deep. If your fingernail doesn’t catch, consider starting with a scratch removal detailing product.

if it’s through the paint, consider drcolorchip. Easy to apply one step application of paint and clear.

Without seeing a photo it would be difficult to recommend the optimal course of action. However, just keep in mind that in order to remove the appearance of a defect, you are actually removing material around the defect…down to the level of where the defect is, such that it is no longer visible. It’s important to make a proper judgement on whether removing this much material around the defect is warranted.

I have all of the tools and experience needed to address something like this on my car, if it happened. I could probably evaluate and fix it in ten minutes, saving maybe $150 worth of detailer time.
But if I didn't have the tools and experience, and I messed it up, I'd cause thousands worth of damage. For a $100K-200K car, it may be worth paying a good detailer to evaluate and fix the scuff, regardless of how minor it is, at least your first time.
