I did a slightly longer charge than normal (for me) - about 4 hours and the cable from the charger to the car was definitely warm, but the plugged-in cable from the NEMA 14-50 receptacle to the charger was much warmer even a little hot to the touch. I do have 50 amp circuit, but just want to...
I am 30 days into ownership of my Turbo and couldn't be happier. There is no question this is a Porsche sports car. There is also no question that Porsche has to work on the PCM and software. Even the main screen - the fact that they didn't size the icons to all fit the display is just ludicrous...
Try to test by deleting one garage door from the Homelink setup and see if your memory button setup works just the one garage door. I only have one garage door setup and my memory button (one on the dash) opens and closes the garage door. Then maybe add back the second garage door after you have...
Unless I haven't seen it, we need a setting to be able to turn off the touch aspects of all 3 (or 4 if you also have passenger display) displays to be able to wipe off all the fingerprints, smudges and dust. Porsche provides a microfiber cloth to wipe down, but no matter how light of a rub I try...
Yes, the TX sensor has to be 21" above ground - so can't do the TX on the front - maybe the rear. David, where are you thinking of putting the interior display unit and controls?
Has anyone done a Rodenso/AL Priority custom install? I'm trying to figure out where to place the "remote" display unit and button controls without it
Keith, can you please post a picture of where you had the LED lights installed?
I found the PCM settings that look like they control the Precooling. The setting below "Precool/heat" was On so I switched it to Off, and the Precool/heat with remote unlocking was checked, so I unchecked it. It seems that that climate control process no longer goes on by itself any longer.
I do not have any timers or profiles set up but out of nowhere the Porsche Connect App started giving me notifications on my iPhone that the "Climate control process has been completed". I don't believe I changed any settings that would cause the climate control process to begin let alone get...
The case has a mounting plate that attaches to the wall. There is also a spacer mounting plate if, like me, the outlet and wiring are surface mounted. The spacer leaves an opening to go over the conduit that I ran from my attic. I had the electrician hold up the case to the wall where I wanted...
Yes. Just had mine done. It's installed over the NEMA 14-50 outlet my electrician installed. Here are pics. The picture with the door open will show how the mobile charger connect snaps in and is plugged into the outlet. It's a very clean look. I was reluctant to purchase it due to the $470...
I have found that it is more of kicking action than a waving around. Make sure you're centered at the back and push your foot forward kinda slowly and then pull it straight back. I have had more success with that action than trying to wave my foot around underneath. It seems like the sensor is...
I'm finding that the Comfort Access (i.e., keyless entry) has a very short range. I really have to be close to the door to unlock and lock it. If I initially go to the car and pass the front rather than coming from the side, it seems to read the key in my pocket a little farther away. Anyone...
Just got my car back from having the windows tinted and PPF (Suntek Ultra) installed. I just did the entire front and side mirrors. No doubt, Jet Black Metallic looks awesome on the Taycan and hopefully the PPF will help protect the beautiful paint.
Sorry to disappoint you @Chowster but I ended up passing on the spacers. But here are 2 pics showing what they look like installed. On the split photo the right side shows the rims with spacers installed and left side is stock. So I just did the window tinting and PPF (Suntek Ultra).
Thanks @JayGT4 - will not be taking her to the track. Installer said they are ECS Tuning hub centric machined spacers. Not sure it's worth the bang for the buck.
My car is at the custom shop getting windows tinted and clear bra installed. He wants to add wheel spacers - 15mm for front and 10mm in rear. Any reason NOT to do it on the Taycan (depending on how much he'll charge). They do add a little aggressiveness to the look of the car but want to make...
Good to know. Mine is charging at 40 amps and the Porsche cable (the one plugging into the car) was definitely warm to the touch. Not hot, but definitely warm. I was just about to ask if that's normal so glad to hear others are experiencing the same thing.
+1 for Sport Sound. It does add futuristic feel. Same experience on difference in volume based on drive mode. Gets louder with the sportier mode. I'm definitely glad I added the option to my car.
Thanks Paul. I went back to my electrician and he said it was a typo in his message to me - he did use 6 gauge. Thanks for pointing it out. I'm charging now so will see if the cable feels warm. Mine is a relatively short distance - maybe 50-60 feet as well.
