Received this message on drive home today. Since when did Porsche start doing OTA software updates or have I missed something? Anyone done this yet.
Ps I've had the map 'updates' every few weeks for quite a while.
Ive had the same problem last year. They wouldn't prioritise it as ' i could still charge it' ...but had to travel 10 miles late after work to sit on a DC charger and pay more money for the privilege of the inconvenience of it!
Eventually called Porsche Assist and got a BMW 520 estate...
It's frankly ridiculous. The only was I could move my charger far enough away to meet their requirements would be to have it free standing away from my house on the public pavement !
Contacted Porsche Customer Relations and also VWFS(car is on PCP thankfully!) a few weeks ago wth concerns about reliability, lack of courtesy cars, lack of solution to the 80% charging issue etc and also about current advice.
Eventually got this back....couldn't believe it especially the...
Had same on mine and covered by my tyre and alloy insurance.
Porsche wanted 150 each and off the road for at least 2-3days.
These guys did on my drive and came via the insurers. Did a really good job.

And I've had exactly the same from my dealership when I've had all the problems with my 2 Taycans!
It's almost like "hey, spend a 6 figure sum with us, buy a car you've aspired or dreamt of but don't expect it to work all the time or properly. If you want that buy another brand. That's the...
I suppose, to be fair, they are reporting on a factual letter direct from Porsche?
There have been multiple recalls on the Taycan and this one had worried me the most. Just so happened my letter happened to coincide when my car was already in for another of the issues its been afflicted with...
By way of an update....cable jammed (NS) yesterday again and couldn't get released. Car undriveable!
Porsche Assist called (AA) and he eventually got it unlocked with advice that I should be careful in considering trying the other side side as the same may happen.
Called Porsche OPC today and...
Thanks Dave. The manual release was not accessible as the car is in the garage and cannot open door far enough. Engaging drive and the trying cable again did it ! Have a great New Year and thanks again!
Car has been plugged in and has charged. However cannot remove cable from port. Have locked/unlocked car etc several times. No joy. No light blinking or showing on the catching port and when pressed, cannot disengage the cable. Any workarounds?
Thanks!
I've also had the same. MY 22. Car is currently already in dealership for last 2 weeks as it won't AC charge and they can't give timeline of when it will be fixed and didn't have any courtesy cars either.
Incredibly poor service and reliability and I may have a car that, if fixed, I can't...
Yep still under warranty. It's just the time delay in getting booked in and sorted.
As others have said also most OPCs only have one tech who knows what to do.
