Gap insurance for Taycan RWD - ya or nope

Yep...I understand how GAP works. Its highly unlikely the difference the shortfall from the insurance pay off and what is owed is going to be less that the GAP premium hence why it makes sense for peace of mind if you're financing the car

Gap insurance for Taycan RWD - ya or nope

Could you apply the same principle to house insurance.....if you can't afford to lose the house in a fire, why buy it ?‍♂️. Not everybody can buy these cars 'cash' but that doesn't mean you shouldn't have one. Just my 2p worth

Where do you keep your car?

Mine's in the garage and did make small difference to the insurance premium. However I think having it on the driveway will make it more palatable from an insurers perspective rather than on street. As for the charger, opted for mine on side of garage (so unseen) with the logic being that it...

New MY22 4S in Gentian Blue to replace Ice Grey MY21 RWD

Hi Thought I'd share to some pics. Went with dark exterior and chalk two tone interior this time to replace light Ice Grey exterior and black interior. Loving the contrast! Also the new PCM at present seems to be that bit slicker and quicker. Fingers crossed!

    UK Insurance - Company Car

My OPC also insisted that they have to register the car in the name of who takes the finance; in this case my Ltd Co for both. However that wasn't a problem with Admiral. Had parallel before with contract hire cars whereby the lease company own the car and are also the registered...

    Park in the garage?

I used to charge inside my garage until my mobile phone blew up inside the house a few days later. I also developed a sore knee which I think is related. I'm suing Samsung and Porsche and considering going for my GP too

    UK Insurance - Company Car

No doubt London post code hurts. I'm not even grey...just old and bald! 55 yrs old with £480 from memory last year. Renewal due soon. No doubt multi car helps but as W1 NGE says, give them the correct facts. Insurers will look for anything to get out of a claim!

How do I get Passenger display ON

Lol...thanks W1NGE. However how having a logo or whatever displayed being a safety risk beats me. Just looks better, and more 'future' when the panel is in use

How do I get Passenger display ON

Hi all When I start up with no passenger, Taycan logo comes on and then varies between staying on(acceptable aesthetics) or just goes off and blank screen( waste of money aesthetics)...no idea why it does the variation as no passenger either time. Any info on how I can keep it on , with no...

    Charging cable type for Taycan

Thanks. If I use an Audi cable borrowed from a friend, no issues and pulling at 7.4kw from the wallbox. If I use supplied cable from Porsche, half that. Gotta be the cable?....and its v thin compared to the Audi one

    Charging cable type for Taycan

Hi folks. Looking for advice. My dealership 'owe' me the correct charging cable. The one I have is relatively thin and could only charge my car at about 3.5kw from my 7.2kw wall box. Would the other version they supply (rated at 32A) and about 6m long give me the full 7.2kw charging ability...
