Wonder what insurer they use for Darth's flagship Executor.

Heard one of the real reasons AIG went bust was due to their significant exposure to Galactic Empire ships failing from serious mechanical problems.
I heard it is still in manufacture due to parts and semi conductor chip shortage

Interesting. Presumably you have long UK driving and insurance record.

My understanding is that Covea targets clients with less UK history and e.g. a foreign driving license as is my case.

Yes 10 years no claims and old!

Mostly will be as i live in London though i expect. I’m ok with this price given what I’ve been quoted. Will of course take the free 5 days of insurance through Porsche..

Sorry if this has been posted but I’m trying to get insurance for my company car as sole director.

1. I’m putting my name as registered keeper and company as the owner
2. I’ll pay for the insurance and claim back from my company
3. Are there any particular companies better for insurance on a 4S cross Turismo - at the moment I’ve found Admiral to be the cheapest but it’s still expensive!

TIA!
We hopefully get our Taycan on Saturday and still to sort is the insurance, i am getting it as a company car.

So if we arrange the registration as you say above, so you discuss with the insurance as though its a private insurance policy or are you making them aware of the above process and see what they come back with?

Need to sort tomorrow.

Thanks

confirmed. Got my car Monday.
Registered owner is the company (get them to make invoice to company)

registered KEEPER is you!

then when you insure you just tell them your name is on the v5 don’t think they will ask owner.

try admiral multi car it was £500 cheaper to keep our old car.

I am usually pretty calm with doing things like the above, but can then imagine finding its an issue when you need the insurance to pay out and then they look properly at everything.

Its one thing to go down this path and get a quote and a certificate, but how confident are you its fully legit if they start searching later when / if you ask them to pay out for something?

The garage are also asking me to show proof of insurance on collection also as I am going down the PHP route.

Thanks

Don’t stress it mate it’s a relief once all done.

Just make sure you email the garage to put the V5 in your own name and invoice in company name - email them to be sure.

Then try comparisons usually seems that admiral seem to come out in top.
Then speak to admiral and get a quote with tough collection day locked in.

do ask about multi car if that’s an option even with a cheap runaround.

DM me if you get stuck and I can try and help you.

I am with Admiral multi car and my first year renewal is due in just over a month, so I will post up the quote.
I said I would update when my Admiral renewal came up for early Aug.

The renewal figure was 28% higher than last year.

I also noticed the APR for paying monthly was now 22%!

So I phoned to switch to annual payment and also had a moan about the price increase.
I also tweaked mileage to past years - and was then offered more or less same premium as last year.

I called up Admiral to cancel their auto renewal quote of £1,550, after I went with Aviva for £1,350. Admiral came back with a renewal of £1,090 with home insurance.

My OPC also insisted that they have to register the car in the name of who takes the finance; in this case my Ltd Co for both. However that wasn't a problem with Admiral. Had parallel before with contract hire cars whereby the lease company own the car and are also the registered keeper...insurers accept that and any penalty points are simply passed from the lease company to the leasee for their own personal licence
