Definite step in the right direction. Maybe the PCM update we’re seeing in the GTS videos combined with this app direction will see real improvements in 2022.
I literally only use it on longer drivers. My wife handles the media and routing from there. I kind of just like the lit Taycan symbol on there when I’m driving, it finishes the dash off IMHO.
That's the Porsche Connect app I believe? - https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/porsche-connect-app/id1027326241
The new or refreshed one is - https://apps.apple.com/us/app/my-porsche/id1542743354 (black logo not white)
I think the new My Porsche app is destined to replace Porsche Connect but they have pushed a very basic version out first. On the upside it’s more reliable at connecting and you can easily pre condition the car, no waiting like others have said for it to work 2 out of 10 times. You can’t...
This looks like a material improvement (much needed) did your dealer confirm that it’s available for all Taycans MY20 onwards?
I’ve heard nothing here in Canada but will push my dealer when I go in for my winter tires.
I had this exact thing happen on Monday this week. Drove the car on Friday totally fine and then on Monday all of my media settings, favourites and the Apple Music registration had reset.
This must be server side and they made an update over the weekend.
This is an interesting problem. Particularly because you need an american credit card to sign up for Electrify America which seems like a massive oversight.
Have you tried calling Electrify Canada as their affiliate to see what they suggest?
Thanks, that’s a really interesting point and makes sense.
I ended up buying these from the local Porsche service center. They won’t look as good as the Mission E rims but they will allow me to stop. ...
Answering my own question, looks like nothing is missing based on these photos - https://electrek.co/2020/01/29/first-drive-taycan-is-the-best-porsche-ever-and-yet-just-the-beginning/
Hi all,
I recently picked up a used 2020 Taycan Turbo and I was looking for guidance on what I should expect in the compartments to the left and right hand side of the frunk.
Looking at it there appears to be a compressor and tire compound on the left hand side and on the right there’s a small...
Ok, there's more than a consensus. Last question... thoughts on the Tequipment winter tires?

Looks like it's CAD$7-8k for a winter tires set from Porsche.
Cool, thanks for the feedback. The general consensus is to run my All Seasons in the summer and replace them with summers when they run out. I’ll purchase a winter tire package now and have those ready for whatever conditions get thrown at me.
My previous cars always came with low profile...
Hola fellow Canadians,
I‘m picking up a used 2020 Taycan Turbo next week that has Mission E rims and the All Season Tire option.
Anyone else here run the all seasons during Canadian winter? I normally get a second set of winter rims/tires and swap. I’m thinking of just running the stock tires...
Thanks for taking the time to write this up @daveo4EV ! I’m coming across from a 2018 Model 3 Performance to a Taycan Turbo (long story about Model S Plaid Delays and the Yoke).
Your post really needs to be stickied somewhere and required reading.. That and the Inside EVs discussion about...
Not sure how this has played out for you but the manual states that recup off is more efficient than on most times.

This link really cleared it up for me.
I found this summary really useful to understand recup coming from a Model 3 Performance. https://insideevs.com/reviews/397503/porsche-taycan-regenerative-braking-deep-dive/
