"Trust, but verify" though we have not really "verified" much yet.

A Taycan crashed and burned in China, a couple died inside the car due to door cannot be open from outside

It would indeed be good to have some other reports, however, this can be challenging as it happened inside China. Maybe Reuters, DW, BBC, or AP will pick it up.

2022 Taycan RWD 10k mile review

Another benefit of the larger battery pack is that battery degradation will not affect range quite as much as the smaller pack.

A Taycan crashed and burned in China, a couple died inside the car due to door cannot be open from outside

Kinda odd this story (with fatalities) was not picked-up by Reuters or Associated Press. Has anyone vetted the source?

    Trade-in values?

Regarding newer vehicles, Carvana usually requires you text them for "Manual Appraisal" request (602) 461-7607 with your Carvana account email (you will need an account), zip code, and a picture of the Monroney (window sticker). Driveway is a bit more analog, but will get to you eventually...

Yes, the Tesla (Model S in my case) did just feel worse and now it's gone.

    Trade-in values?

Admittedly, I prefer to limit my interaction with any salesperson in any situation. I generally do exhaustive research before I choose to buy or sell. Once I have decided to make a major purchase or sale, I want a smooth hassle-free experience. The ole sit down in the dealership while I speak...

    Trade-in values?

Each to their own I guess? It seems no different than receiving junk mail saying a dealership needs new cars and will pay top dollar; it's a smarmy sales tactic. Margins on used vehicles are higher, and top dollar is generally not on offer. It is a tactic used to get you into the dealership and...

    Trade-in values?

I regularly check the Carvana offer values of all my vehicles just in case their offer is too good to refuse. I had to text for manual appraisal and asked if they sell most of the high-dollar vehicles and I was told they probably will go to auction. I recently sold an old, high-mileage SUV and...

    Trade-in values?

Possibly, though I have had buyers from California asking me to ship to them for both my Taycan and Polestar 2. None of them were offering "over" asking prices.

Do I need the new software update?

Use the NHTSA link I posted or search "NHTSA recall" in your favorite search engine, then enter your 17-digit VIN and the NHTSA site will tell you if there are any open recalls. If you do not have an open safety recall, then there's nothing to worry about.

Do I need the new software update?

ANA6 is a NHTSA recall, so I would say you do indeed need it. Recommend entering your VIN into the NHTSA recall site. NHTSA
