I can imagine the new platform will primarily focus on increased efficiency and increased battery capacity without at least losing existing interior space of the J1. More interior space would be nice!
Will this chassis also enable a tri-motor design to keep up with the performance battles of...
Your tint came out great... particularly the contrast of a darker tint on a lighter color car.
I still want some privacy (not as dark as yours) but primarily heat rejection. I'm thinking 35% all around and 70% front windshield - with a black interior.
I don't plan to install the front license...
This is definitely one of the bigger unknowns and can't wait to hear from other forum members on their dash cam installation experience (Porsche dash cam or otherwise) using the pre-wiring option.
I've selected the option on my order ($130 experiment) and hope this forum can help bring clarity...
To what many have said, full hood is the best option. Had partial hood PPF on a different car several years ago... didn't look good immediately after getting the car.
And if you're going with a lighter color car... full PPF on the hood is really the only option.
I kept going back and forth between Neptune Blue and Chalk. I saw Chalk in person, really liked how it takes on a few different shades depending on weather and day/night... so went with that. I never did see Neptune Blue in person.
Congratulations on your allocation! And nice build. I just received my allocation as well, so would certainly defer to those who have received their car over my thoughts below.
Are you in a particular situation where you think you'll need rear axle steering - e.g., consistently tight parking...
Same… I wanted to stay close to the concept vehicle with Mission E wheels. (Although there’s a striking similarity to the recent Jeep Wrangler five spoke. ?)
RS Spyder are very nice and would’ve been happy with that choice. Since I didn’t go with the GTS and liked the look (and performance, if...
Not for everyone… but I’m taking the same approach for my delivery later in 2023 (hopefully!). Trying to keep my first EV & Porsche pristine, as much as possible, while still being my daily driver.
@RAHRCR - just curious, you took official delivery from the dealer (i.e., car cover unveiling)...
Well said. I can imagine most of my enjoyment of this option will come from varying my speed around town.
And I really like that it sounds like a Star Wars pod racer! #geek
Congratulations on your delivery, @whan, and thanks for setting up this spreadsheet.
Great info to see across 50+ orders. I've added mine... now that I've gotten an allocation (very excited!). It'd be interesting to know if all of the entires with current delivery dates less than today's date...
Felt the same about the reference to staying with the 400V architecture… and their continued focus on range more than performance. Interesting approach.
Based on Kyle’s professional network, general EV advocacy and direct experience with public charging over the last several years, I do think it is a big deal that he’s no longer recommending CCS compatible EV’s until reliability improves.
In the US, it still feels like we’re in the early...
I like the way it looks from the outside without tint as well (pictures and seeing one in town driving by)… but not sure I like the “fish bowl” feeling of being inside. Having too much fun driving to really notice? ?
Hoping for increased range through reduced battery reserve capacity and continued software efficiencies… applicable to all (or as many 9J1.1 model years as possible). How about through over the air updates??
If that happens, then I’m fine with a slightly bigger battery pack option for 2024...
I read something similar about disabling wireless Apple Car Play for the Porsche dashcams… but was that all the time? Or only when you want to view a replay recording through the Porsche dashcam app? Again, more to learn.
I like the look of the Blackvue setup much better (particularly to avoid...
That was certainly a fun read… and would say you made a great choice with the GTS, given your situation!
Similar to this thread, I went back and forth on 4S vs GTS… ~$10K difference for features I wasn’t overly excited about. Ultimately, ordered a less “sportier” 4S. ?
I like the idea of a darker tint on a lighter car... I've ordered Chalk exterior / Black interior. Thinking 70% windshield, 35% driver/passenger doors, 20% rear window.
While I'm used to tinting doors and rear window, this combined with tinting the windshield would be new for me. Welcome any...
Thanks for posting pics. Definitely like the added protection that TuxMat looks to provide. Can't wait to hear more about how they hold up during the winter months.
Also, any trouble fitting the golf clubs in the trunk? Do you need to take driver out of the bag to ensure proper fit?
You've very well summarized months of my reading the great info on this forum and reaching similar conclusions. Thanks!
I've just ordered a 4S Chalk and would add...
I've got Mission E wheels selected, but skipped "Wheels painted in exterior color." This option looks incredible for a white...
