I just dropped my 2020 Turbo off this morning. My dealer said some updates going relatively smoothly, with a couple not. He said Porsche was paying for 4 hours of updating, which was unfair, as it took much longer.
I see you are in Minneapolis, as am I. I’m hoping my all weather tires on the same wheels will work, especially since will be doing mainly urban driving. All weather tires seemed to work on my 2017 Panamera 4S. Guess I’ll see, right now, maybe I’m just being cheap.
BTW, I received multiple books as well. Interestingly, I thought they were duplicates, and they almost were. BUT, one was prepared having “English” as part of the manual, and one had section for “U.S.“ Go figure.
I also have trouble with the keyless locking on the driver’s door. Yes, sometimes you stand there and keep pushing on the door handle, hoping and waiting for the car to lock :(
Mirrors were standard, and other than the option to have black instead of chrome trim around the windows and for the rear badge, all other black parts are standard (for a Turbo) in U.S.
Well, I MIGHT legally be required to have front plate here in Minnesota, and I was going to have it put on, but dealer frowned and said I would be only Taycan he’s seen with a front plate. Soooo....
I paid $549 for the tinting—arranged through the dealer and applied before I took delivery. I think the dealer rep may have told me that the price had gone up to $650 since I signed my deal for the car in March of this year.
BTW, love the car—no real issues or problems, and have received a...
My question is, how low is it reasonably safe to go on % of SOC when planning a trip? I don’t have a lot of direct fast chargers around, and most are only 50 KW.
BTW, I also had the dealer install them free when my T arrived, but I also just ordered the clear side markers from my dealer. Just gave dealer part number, and when I picked up the car, they were already installed.
I went on a road trip yesterday with my grand kids (260+ miles round trip) :) . Wanted to activate the Taycan’s hotspot so kids could access internet on their iPads. Couldn’t figure it out—called Porsche Roadside Assistance and was advised that U.S. Taycans do not as yet have the ability to...
Picked this beauty up this afternoon, after film and tint applied. Another Carrara White with red & black interior (which I love). Now if I can only figure out the multiple direction books given to installing the Porsche’s charging dock :(
I just ordered mine through the dealer, and asked that they install them when my car was delivered (this week). (But now waiting on protective film and tinting.)
Ditto-at least that was what I was offered by Porsche Financial when I pick up my Turbo in about a week. Three year lease effective annual interest rate was 7.44%.
I have a 991 S cab and about to get a Taycan Turbo delivered next week. You didn't state whether you were looking at a 911 cab or coup. I love the 911 cab and am keeping it because in the summer I have the top down whenever it is not raining and temperature is above 55 degrees (which happens...
BTW, for those who were anxiously awaiting the unloading of the Goodwood in Houston, that was completed yesterday, and I have confirmed that my Turbo is scheduled to be in Minneapolis June 5.
