22KW > 25A Single Phase - Ok, my OPC contact has checked on the 22kW issue and has confirmed the harmonic recall does fix the issue with >25A single phase.
Suggest a few others push for this confirmation with their OPC too so we might see an official update but looks good. Mine is getting the...
Oh wow, that’s really delaminated ?. Hopefully yours comes quicker, think mine was one of the early ones to go so they probably hadn’t hit the “oh ?. We’d better order a job lot of replacement roofs” button…
Anyone had it done yet and found out if it removes the single phase amperage guidance? Mine is going in on Friday for both WNE8 and its replacement panoramic roof. I’ll try and get an answer then but would be great to have confirmation we can now charge at 7.4kW destination chargers without worry.
Ok, confirmation my roof is now with the dealer bodyshop. Perfect timing as away on business shortly so hopefully will be able to report back in about 10 days as to roof fix, any more info on cause. Should get the 22kW Harmonic recall done too ??.
Oh gutted it’s holding up your delivery. When my crack happened 9 days in my biggest worry would be that it wouldn’t be drivable. So glad it never got worse have been able to enjoy it the last two months. Not sure what happens with yours not having been handed over, hopefully they’ll prioritise...
Maybe check with dealer? Could be you have it from the factory, if of course this “harmonic” fix is the fix we’ve been waiting for (sounds like it). Ask if you have it, ask if now means the 32A restriction is gone ( and let us know ??).
Yeah, it came up on my account as active campaign on the 23rd. May be yours is done but worth checking. Hopefully means we are good for 32A single phase again (trying to get that confirmed).
Just been told my roof has been released by Porsche, hopefully will get it booked in soon and combine with the 22kW harmonic fix. Zero qualms about driving mine with the crack though, no worse since it happened. Watertight. Is yours worse?
I’ve asked the question to the person who’s been looking into the single phase issue for me so if hear anything will report back. I’ve got the recall myself now, hopefully will tie in with my Panoramic roof replacement and get it all done at once.
Yeah, saw it was a booster. But just can’t see anywhere mentioned if its ok to boost a Li battery with it? I’ve seen a few booster brands explicitly state to not use with a Li 12V so a bit cautious on what to buy as a contingency option.
Ah good news, I got the impression today that they might be about to start releasing fixes so you may just have good timing. Should know by end of the week when scheduled in. Still sanguine about it, been able to drive and enjoy the car and know will be fixed so all ?.
I think you are spot on with the just telling people what might help part. This is akin to the You-Tube “stats for nerds” and the sort of thing that the average user won’t care about. Those of us on forums like this are more likely to be into this stuff and I have no issue with the extra info...
Yeah its mad these issues even happen. Not seen a lot of posts regarding 12V recently on Taycan (was a big issue at launch) though so shame to hear it has happened to you (I did look for a backup 12V booster suitable for Li-Ion but couldn’t find one, certainly not outside of commercial use)...
I’ve been using it since I got it and as others have noted its not the Porsche that typically holds one up even at that setting. By time let the dog out, gone to get/remove coffee then done. Most of my mileage involves DC and as have the car for 4 years thought was worth doing. Do hope to drive...
That would actually make sense tbh, given zero external glass issue. On such small margins can a ?-up occur! I’m happy with the standard Pano, just hope it arrives soon as 7 weeks on now. Pointed out that it doesn’t really affect me too much, barring having to explain to anyone who gets in the...
