  1. Porsche Taycan Posted Double-Digit Sales Growth in 2023

In addition to above mentioned reasons there is another simple one. They cranked up production and there are just too many unsold units. I think demand is solid but supply too high.
  2. Taycan Values.

Ask those Tesla Plaid owners about the value of their cars… Yes, car depreciates quite a but but that is the reality of expensive cars. And even more so than expensive EVs. You guys remember that Apple introduced a super expensive variation of the first apple watch? It was in 5 figures. No one...
  3. Any hope for significant update when MY 2025 introduced?

In order to achieve around 300 miles they have to make more battery capacity available. With the equivalent battery capacity like the current Taycan you won’t get there even if the motors become more efficient. Hopefully that higher capacity trickles down to current cars.
  4. Any hope for significant update when MY 2025 introduced?

Any hope for any of the following happening when the MY 2025 is introduced? - More battery capacity available? - More power via software update to unlock any reserves that the motors may have? - PCM upgrade to match what is being introduced with Macan EV? That would be a way for Porsche to...
  5. Differences Taycan 4S - Turbo S Spoiler?

Dude you are ruining the look of your car with this eyesore.
  6. Auto lock when leaving car?

Got the GTS few days ago. My BMW had a feature where the car would unlock when approaching and lock when leaving. On the Taycan it unlocks when approaching, is there a feature that locks the car automatically when leaving the car? Couldn't find anything in settings.
  7. "Pre-series Taycan" prototype (presumably Turbo GT model-to-come) beats Turbo S around Nurburgring by 26 seconds (and Model S Plaid by 18 sec)!

Very impressive, just wondering how the Rimac was only 2 seconds faster. Comparatively disappointing time from the Rimac.
  8. Charging to 100%, why not?

“I am inevitable”…one of the classic lines of movie history.
  9. Charging to 100%, why not?

I guess you are a fan of Thanos ;)
  10. Charging to 100%, why not?

The car companies allow charging until 100%, how is that unethical? Then you should only hand wash the car and have it waxed every month to make sure that next owner has a pristine exterior. While you are at it, only drive <5000 miles a year so there is minimal wear and tear.
  11. Demo cars?

Yes, that discount applies to all cars when leased. Irrespective of demo or new.
  12. Demo cars?

Giving the same $7500 discount on new car as well, only when leasing the car. That discount does not apply if you but any of those cars (demo or new). That what makes it puzzling…
  13. Demo cars?

They were selling the demo cars as new…not even disclosing it until I started asking some very specific questions
  14. Demo cars?

Close to signing a GTS lease. Can anyone more knowledgeable explain to me why the dealership had so many “demo” cars? They were very low mileage (<30) and clearly not used by anyone for daily driving. However, the warranty had already kicked in weeks/months ago. Explanation they gave me was that...
  15. Big Discounts on new Taycans

Same situation here in FL, I actually gave the numbers in a different thread. MSRP on new Taycan around 159k. I got them to 32.5 k discount (25 k dealer discount, 7.5 k lease rebate from Porsche). Start with that number and see how they react, you want to buy or lease? They are charging almost...
  16. Latest deals - need feedback

Residual is 0.52 of the MSRP and money factor is 0.00370
  17. Latest deals - need feedback

That is why I am asking, they knocked off 32.5k off the MSRP.
  18. Charging to 100%, why not?

It will be a leased car…long term viability not a concern
  19. Charging to 100%, why not?

Sorry guys, maybe has been discussed previously but close to getting a GTS. Simple question to more experience owners, why not charge to 85% and not to 100% every time? Hear me out, on other cars (or electronic devices per se) like Tesla you dont want charge to 100% every time to preserve the...
