I checked but I could not find anything like that. I also don’t have that button in the passenger display.
The efficiency wasn’t fantastic the first 300 km or so before the regen kicked in, especially for mixed city driving. Afterwards, the average efficiency improved a lot and is still...
Oh, no I haven't. I went through the settings and couldn't find anything relating to headphones so I just assumed it wasn't a feature. I'll have to check again. Hopefully it's possible to connect a pair of AirPods.
The main issue is that the digital manual in the app seems to still refer to the...
It's super annoying, especially since it chimes continuously if you even exceed the speed limit by a fraction of a km/h.
As far I can tell, there are four different levels for when the warning will trigger, 0 km/h, "with tolerance", 5 km/h and 10 km/h. However, only the first two will actually...
I think it’s pretty telling that they’re different vehicles since the plan is apparently that the Panamera will also become fully electrified in the future.
Regarding PHEVs, I think they have some value as a gateway EV. I think there are a lot of people who are interested in having an EV as a...
The warping doesn’t notably affect the image quality. You can switch modes with surround view, but this was the only photo I had available from my car. Nevertheless, this isn’t just about the camera feed; even the GUI overlay is significantly lower resolution.
Nope, it’s complete passive. The...
Nope, the passenger screen appears completely black for the driver. The dumb thing is that it still shows the Taycan logo and album art when playing media, even though no one can see it (except technically maybe from the backseat). Why they don't just turn it off when no one is sitting there to...
People have been asking me about the quality of the parking cameras, and I think I now understand what people are talking about.
They gave me a loaner base 2025 Taycan while they're fixing my rock chipped windscreen (yes, I know I'm cursed) and while it's interesting to get some fresh eyes on...
My old Taycan ended up with an average consumption of 23.6 kWh/100km. Typically I would get around 23-25 kWh/100km on non-spirited highway driving, depending on the weather and season.
Regarding the sport sound, that’s actually interesting because when I tested a 4S, it did pipe some additional sports sound into the cabin when P2P was active. However, I haven’t noticed the same with my Turbo S.
Maybe they thought the performance was exciting enough, or I’ve managed to disable...
I think I mentioned it in my original post. It’s much better than the old version. The visualisation is one thing, but more importantly it’s much more confident and handles curves much better. Part of it might come from the fact that it will fight you a bit more than the old system that would...
Does it make a significant difference? Absolutely. Is it a gimmick? Also yes.
Even the previous Turbo S had way more performance than anyone would reasonably need on public roads. The new Taycan is even faster and with P2P even more so.
It’s fun to use when getting onto the highway or similar...
Some updates after having had some experience with the car:
1. Speed bumps are dead as a concept if systems like Active Ride would ever become common. While you definitely feel the bumps, it doesn't matter whatsoever what speed you go over them at. The car couldn't care less about such...
Oh, that's a tricky one. Personally, I love good sound so while the Taycan BM isn't the best I've ever heard, I would still typically spec the best sound system available. I haven't actually listed to the Bose speakers, though, so I don't know how much of a difference it is.
That said, Active...
All modes other than Normal are effectively Individual modes now. You can’t however create additional modes, so you’ll have to dedicate one of the existing ones for this.
Yeah, I have remote parking configured. I know people have had connection issues on the forums, but for me it has worked as expected for both my old car and this one. I honestly haven’t used it that much, but the few times I have, it has been quite useful.
The latter. I thought it was fitting no name my EV's after fictional spaceships. My Model S was named Serenity after the TV show Firefly and my Model 3 is named Normandy from the game Mass Effect.
I was otherwise thinking of naming this one Endurance from the movie Interstellar.
Hard to say whether the camera is better or just cleaner than my previous Taycan. I think it’s relatively marginal, anyway. I think the real test is at night. Any camera will look fairly good in broad daylight.
Yeah, those are available as one of the different leather options. My previous car also had it. There are probably a hundred other options that would be more value for money, but they do feel very premium. They’re padded, so they have this really feeling when you hold them.
The only new leather...
Like with the previous generation, if you spec the 3D surround view, you don't get the side camera view. Honestly, if I could I would choose the side cameras over the almost useless 3D view, but sadly it's included with the Park Assist package.
