Seeing people say that they are getting a winter range of 230 miles makes me jealous. Here in Wisconsin with temps often in the teens and some single digits, I typically get about 160 miles on a 90% charge. Right now it's around 0 degrees F and my range is about 150 miles at 90%. Conversely, I...
Clearly the CT is more practical, but it really changes the look of the vehicle to something I don't find appealing aesthetically. I seem to be in the minority on that but it is what it is.
Great info everyone but how'd we end up in a discussion of rim jobs and blow jobs in a comparison of Taycans and Macans?:)
I don't have a cross Turismo and wish I did for the hatch but I much prefer the look of the regular Taycan. There is no way I'm getting my dog in the trunk of my Taycan!
I...
Thanks for the responses. It sounds like everyone pretty much prefers the Taycan to the Macan for most (nearly all?) scenarios. My wife won't drive the Taycan either so it's only driven by me. I think it's intimidating for her for whatever reason. She is not a sports car person. I think the...
I'm interested in hearing from those with both of these vehicles in terms of their experience with them and which one they tend to choose to drive more often. I have a Taycan and have been thinking about a Macan for a while but have held off. I think I would choose the Macan when I have older...
Mine is at 15,000ish miles and I was recently thinking how great it looks, drives, and feels. Just like the day I picked it up. I absolutely love mine. The only reason I might move to a Macan electric down the road is for the ground clearance for our winters in Wisconsin.
I had never heard of Porsche drive before and just looked into it. Very cool option actually. Unfortunately, it's only available in a handful of areas, none near me.
Thanks for the responses. Now I'm wondering if maybe I am looking for a reason to get a Macan?:pThe Taycan is so bleeping gorgeous and my paint finish is still perfect. I just dread what a Wisconsin winter will do to it. I know it would be great with plowed, icy roads. In reality, we are talking...
Also, as far as raising the car up in winter. As far as I can tell, the higher suspension mode automatically lowers above 15 mph. Do you mean just keeping it in standard height and not going into sport mode?
What about the salt causing deterioration? Anyone have a strategy for that? Car wash every couple weeks in winter? Just don't worry about it? This is my first $100k+ vehicle so I'm a little worried about the winter salt on it.
I'm near Green Bay in Wisconsin where it gets quite cold for about 5 months, usually with quite a bit of snow. I have a Taycan 4S and could get winter tires for it. I feel confident it would perform well in plowed or lightly covered streets. I have two concerns for driving it throughout the...
Thanks! I think they look good in the configurator but even better in the real life photos I see of cars that have them. These can be ordered from a Porsche dealer after delivery, right?
Thanks for all the info. Consensus is that the standard 4S PDLS+ lights are good. Seems like a waste of money to select matrix lights at this point for sure.
I'm trying to figure out what lighting option to go with for a Taycan 4S in the US. Is matrix lighting now functional in the US? If so, it seems like this option is very worth it. If not, maybe not so much. I also don't understand what the standard lighting is like for the 4S. Anyone know what...
Great perspective. I suspect for the first few days I may wonder how much tighter of a turning radius I could do if it had RAS, but I doubt that concern would linger long. On the other hand, no way would I do regular highway driving without ACC.
