Sport Sound: any app developers? Porsche pay attention!

I DO wish the car made more artificial sounds to make it a more emotional ride. Unless they did a terrible job of design I'm sure the HW could synthesize different sounds. My previous Corvette had a dual mode exhaust (very different mechanism), when you wanted that loud V8 sound it was nice...

Rear Axle Steering....not needed, nice to have, or must have?

I wish the steering had some sort of user configuration. IMHO the on center response is to twitchy and sensitive. Imagine having it is normal/range mode with a bit less response. No reason the steering can't be non-linear. My wife definitely needs it less twitchy, driving on the freeway...

Sport Sound: any app developers? Porsche pay attention!

I thought I would love it, but now only use it on first person new test drives for a few moments. I fail to understand why this has its own HW sub-system, the existing audio system should do this feature. Poor system engineering. They should let a couple of young SW engineers spend a man week...

Disaster! Spec missing the one thing I wanted. ????

I thought I would love it, only use it on first person new test drives for a few moments. I fail to understand why this has its own sub-system, the existing audio system should do this feature. Poor system engineering. That could completely change if they did "the right thing"! 1. It should...

    Taycan Secret Tips and Functions

Does anyone else wish they would allow use of the lower display where they block off for a touch screen? I wish I could choose more information to always be displayed there. Silly why they have a "Touchpad".

400v charging upgrade - now a must have with Tesla network in NA?

Gentlemen, the Taycan handles 110V, 220V, 800V as we all know. There is no reason it won't handle] 400V with its current HW and SW, without any special add on.

Taycan 4S Performance + Battery - My Real World Range Test Update #3 [Monster Range Test]

I am curious if fast starts affect mileage in any significant measure? I suspect they do NOT. For example, doing a full launch and getting the car up to 70mph and driving for 20 miles. I'm guessing the drag of driving at 70mph basically overrides any slight extra heat that a full launch does...

Possible to avoid the "minimum charge" setting?

A couple of points. Porsche engineering and marketing did a VERY poor job of specifying/coding control of car charging. Look for a video on how to properly setup timers & Profiles, you really should have both. The minimum charging parameter is setup in Profiles. I have my minimum charge setup...

Taycan software update - reported problems post update

When I took it in the dealer said Porsche said there "wasn't a problem, so don't worry". The dealer re-calibrated the system, it didn't sound like anyone thought that was a solution. Honestly I have not tested this after they worked on it. I doubt it is fixed. I suspect the software and hardware...

    "All-Wheel drive" error?

My First Public Charge @ Electrify America (EA) - Massive Fail!

This is likely a SW compatibility problem between Porsche and EA. I would also not rule out hardware problems! Note Chevy Bolts are having problems charging, there it is a combined HW/SW problem. I'm NOT saying this is also what we are seeing, but maybe similar. The cables are heavy so the...

My First Public Charge @ Electrify America (EA) - Massive Fail!

Porsche + EA = JUNK. I've had Many problems, months ago problems then charging worked for awhile and today another failure. Imagine if you went to the gas station and could not put gas in your car, no one would put up with this. I'm very upset and very sad I bought this car, too many BIG and...

    B-Pillar Protection

I'm considering trying super glue to hold it in place, just a tiny dab or two.

What's the secret to locking the car using a finger swipe on door handle?

I find that ALL the touch features on the Porsche are terrible, locking doors via handle, opening trunk by kicking, opening frunk by finger swipe. Even opening the power ports takes a few times. I gave up on the rear trunk/frunk. I found the door handles only work about 50%, I push...

Charging session error on Electrify America

I have a 2020, the Porsche Connect App is new Jun 9. I went today and could not charge at an EA station. I tried many things, then spent 18 minutes on the phone with EA, they could not get it to work either. An audi could not get his to charge either... Porsche + EA = JUNK. Btw the EA rep...

Ride quality depending on chassis height?

I understand but this is a silly restriction. I can see not wanting to drive the car at 80mph at its tallest setting, but see no problem at normal speeds.

Ride quality depending on chassis height?

I have a light in my neighborhood that has a dip in it. If I have to stop for the light the suspension will auto lift, if I don't need to stop it won't lift because I'm going ~40Mph, these kind of dips in roads are a problem. I don't understand why the system has this 20Mph level it won't work...

Ride quality depending on chassis height?

I find it very hard to tell if there is a difference in ride quality when going between chassis heights. Normal, Lowered, Low. Does anyone know how much the strut settings actually change? Sure on big bumps less travel to soak them up. While I am on the topic, why won't the car chassis go...

Is it just me, or did your Taycan come with an unrequested, always-on tracking device called StarGard?

I also had Stargard, once I saw how intrusive it was I asked it be removed, the dealer said ok. I emailed Stargard and they sent a technician to my house to remove it (they are based in San Diego). I had to get my ~$1,000 back from Porsche financial, took about 6 weeks to get a check. IMHO a...

Inner Door-Sill Guards and B-Pillars in Leather

Note getting into the car you WILL scratch the b-pillar, not just your kids. So leather isn't a good idea. I have the extra problem I put so much pressure on it about 10% of the time the molding pops off. I'm going to take it to the dealer to see if they can tape/glue/screw it in so it...
