I finally have some production images of mine thanks to some jiggery pokery from a fellow forum member. The level of excitement is becoming quite unbearable.
I've just had an update to say mine is now waiting in Emden, due to sail to Sheerness on Friday and arriving at the dealers w/c 19th. Fingers crossed I'm hoping 21st pick-up and a nice drive back from Reading up to South Yorkshire.
Been the longest 12 months of my life.
The app still says...
I did from the Sheffield branch yes, so it's a thing you can do. I had it overnight so about 36 hours in total.
Be aware if you charge it, the parking bays are sometimes in places where you need to either sign-in (hotels), or visit the shop (like Iceland in Huddersfield). If you've owned an EV...
Carwow:
Whilst it's an SUV, if I needed the space it would probably be this over a model x.
The performance is very close to a Turbo S Taycan and it wouldn't surprise me if it was a little quicker if you take the launch out of it. Impressive stuff.
You can "gift" some of your time to other family members so you can spread it out a little. I did that with my 16 year-old who had a couple of hot laps with the instructor. It might be worth doing something like this.
They'll probably be bored however, the setting is nice though, food, free...
Whilst I'm waiting for my Taycan, hopefully June now, I would recommend sticking with the PS4. On my M3P I swapped to Goodyear Eagles and they lasted about 6000 miles vs about 16000 in the Michelin. On an M5 i had where grip was at a premium, I did once swap to some P Zero's but they had less...
I had an experience in a supermarket (Iceland) car park in Huddersfield, when test driving the Taycan. Went to an Instavolt, drove in (missed the sign on the way in as you are pulling of a relatively busy road) parked in a charging bay for 20 minutes, stayed with the car, left. Later I was sent...
I'm sure you can, I just don't shop in places that sell such high-end equipment. This is what sparked the intrigue to see what 100k of audio equipment looks like. The most I've spent is about 5k on a 5.1 surround system.
I agree, customer expectations vs customer reality do seem some way apart and sadly all too common an issue. Given its a premium product I do expect a premium service, I don't think that is unreasonable. I wonder if dealers read these forums, we should name and shame.
Does anyone know or care to speculate if this means my order, which is for a mamba green car, is likely to require a change now? The build has not been locked but I'm told its imminent with a May delivery scheduled.
I would really like the option of customised sounds and not just a GTS. Imagine if you could choose any car from their range. I would happily pay a one-off fee for this.
