After spending three weeks at the dealer in February getting the driver's display, instrument cluster replaced, car went in a week later, with new errors, now getting "central" computer replaced. Hoping they give me the updated hardware, but not holding my breath.
My observations, and what the lead tech at my dealer told me, is that all diagnosis and repairs to Taycans must first be monitored and approved by PCNA and their team (as opposed to other Porsche products which the dealer has autonomy in diagnosing and repairing), which delays things, and as...
Driven 6K miles on them.
Noise: A bit of squeak now and again, nothing major or persistent
Difference in cold weather: a bit less efficient until warm, I have noticed in wet weather, as have others in places like Seattle, that they are also less efficient at times when wet. (tbh I live in...
I have the same issue, don't notice it all the time, but when I do it is noticeable. Not that this is on point, but attached is a brake memo my dealer provided to me regarding my brake complaints including an issue with brake fade and pedal drop, with an inconsistent pedal feel. You might find...
I respectfully disagree, what occurred was Porsche rested on their laurels, and didn't anticipate the new breed (electric tech owners) would actually want the tech to work, this was told to me by Porsche, so now they are playing catch up and having to engineer a car and tech that work together...
I have Chalk interior in my Taycan and in no way is it beige or beige toned, it's a light light grey. I've owned several Chalk 911s, and my interior in no way is similar in color to the paint on those cars. On another note, the color holds up well, does not get dirty even on the bolster...
Very tough to patch a hole that close to the sidewall. I've had this same issue on my 992, needed to replace the tire. btw, is it losing air, doesn't look like its into the tire, but only along the sidewall?
Ahhhh good point, it's always sunny and warm in SoCal, so snow, freeze, salt not an issue, but annoying water runs down the back, side and front are. I do use an air blower to blow the water out from a number of spots on the car after a wash, the spoiler, the door handles, headlights etc...
Except it hardly raises, the setting is useless. My 992's spoiler can be raised, and you can actually get underneath it to clean it, not so with my Taycan.
Replace it. If it blows and damages the rim, the tire/rim insurance (if that is the coverage you have) may not cover rim repairs since you knew of the tire issue and failed to get it replaced.
Check the thread "Dumb Mistake: Air in the ABS system" @NC_Taycan, seems the brake fluid flush is way more complicated on a Taycan than any other Porsche vehicles, and the flush alone may take up the better part of the $1,000.
who in their right mind would pay a "Market Rate Adjustment" unless you keep and hold cars forever? Otherwise you will never make up any of it on resale. At some point the market will normalize, and these folks paying way too much, will be underwater in the Marianas Trench. That being said...
