According to the news release the noise and thermally insulated glass option includes all windows even the small triangular window on the back sides. " Porsche installs the noise-insulated glass throughout, including in the tiny triangular panes and, of course, the rear window."
I haven't had...
My son has a 2019 Z06. We've driven each other cars. The Corvette is very quick and is fun to drive but much less comfortable than the Taycan. My son liked my Taycan 4S, but he is more into ICE cars at the moment. He would like a Porsche GT4 RS at some point.
The Z06 starts at around $106k and...
I have the PWCC and haven't had any issues. Only one car on the authorization list, my Taycan, and I don't use a pin. I plug it in and it starts charging assuming it is in the charging window I set up on the profile. If it isn't and I need a quick charge I just change it to direct charging...
I like it as well. You can easily bump the speed up and it will stay bumped up until the next speed change. I find it useful having it "remind" me when there is a speed change.
That is the point of all of these is to make it more difficult to steal your wheels/car/etc. That's what they are deterrents not theft prevention devices. The whole point, at least to me, is to make your vehicle a less attractive target.
There are lots of different types of thieves. A...
Good to hear about the PWCC being able to charge other cars. I've been very happy with my PWCC. Now I don't have any intention of buying a Tesla, but if one of my less fortunate friends shows up with one I can give them a charge ;)
I frequently listen to classical music on Apple music so I'm not sure what the issue is unless it is different in Europe. This might also be of interest: Apple Classical Music App. Waze seems to work well for me in the US so far. But I haven't taken a lot of long trips to new destinations.
I use CarPlay in all my vehicles and have had very very few issues and none for quite a while now. It is nice using the same interface in my vehicles, home, etc.
Hopefully I didn't miss it, but have you put a new battery in the FOB? If there is minor interference and the signal is weak that may be the culprit. I have the BlackVue 900x 2ch wired to my car and haven't had any issues.
I have to agree, the semantics game is just silly. My 1964 Triumph Spitfire 4 was a "sports" car, but could barely out accelerate a VW Beetle. If you want to go with the " a low small usually two-passenger automobile designed for high-speed driving" then a 911 isn't a sports car either since...
I haven't looked up the Florida law but in Arizona darker tint can only be above the AS-1 line (5 inches below the top of the windshield. However, you can get a non-reflective UV/Heat film on windshield, I have this on my cars in Arizona, and it helps a lot with preventing heat transmission.
Well there is lifetime and then there is lifetime. I always wanted a Porsche and after seeing/driving a Taycan that was my choice. Since I'm 72 I'm not sure how many more cars are in my future unless they are full self driving ;) Although a 2dr Porsche EV might make me decide that getting one...
In theory yes, you shoudn't need an external battery to prevent the 12v batter from draining. I've had mine installed in both my wife's Acura and my Taycan for months now without issue. However, I seldom go more than a couple of days without driving/charging the Taycan.
I had the same reaction when I saw the video in the post. "Oh, not this idiot again." He seems to spend pretty much all of his time trashing Porsche, or really any EV manufacturer other than Tesla although he seems to find Porsche particularly irritating for some reason. Our battery gate hero...
Forums are a place to exchange ideas and express opinions. If you are looking for a place where people don't express their opinions I'd suggest looking somewhere other than an internet forum of any kind.
Civility is important but we all buy cars based on our "opinions" of what is important...
This is depends on your situation. I have zero interest in any EVs other than my Taycan and possibly the new Macan EV at some point for my wife. I have the PWCC installed and it has been pretty much flawless charging my Taycan daily.
I am very happy with my PWCC. I've read elsewhere that...
I've been using the PWCC since May, when my car arrived. It has been pretty much flawless. The only issue I had, and it didn't affect charging, was having to manually download the latest software to get rid of a certificate error. It was a pretty simple process.
I do have the 19.2kWH option and...
