The Cyberster is only 3.4 cm taller than a Cayman - but with a ground clearance reduced by 1.,7 cm. Carsized comparison.
I suppose a mix of both, skateboard layout but moving a few battery cells that would be below the seats to behind them, could have the best of both - reducing the height...
Thanks for the precision - I don't own a T. car, not willing to give that much money to Musk ;)
Thus for me, it's a huge button ot the top of the main screen - I've never experienced having to use this "other EV"
- Install the Tesla app (you already have it)
- Drive and park at a Tesla SC - if not in Europe, check that it shows up in the app when clicking "Charge Your (Other) EV".
- In the Tesla app, click on "Charge Your EV" - or burger menu/"Charge Your Other EV"
- Select the SC you're at; Click...
CT14 has tried: it's possible but very risky. See these 3 posts (sum up wording in the link text is mine) :
Taycan J1.1 PCM 6 update from 3882 to 4360 1/3 - update to 39xx or 40xx then to 4360
Taycan J1.1 PCM 6 update from 3882 to 4360 2/3 - one step update
Taycan J1.1 PCM 6 update from 3882 to...
Latest update from PFF : Porsche already has a fix, but in a complete software update of the PCM taking about 6 hours per car --> total around 10M € for the company.
So they're trying to create a smaller update for older versions of the PCM software.
PTV will help keep more speed along a controlled curve, with no rear axis sliding. That's completely different to what we RWD lover wants: bring the weight on the front during braking, turn in and send the power to have a controlled slide.
AWD would need much more speed (thus to be on a track)...
RWD is much easier to oversteer (even at normal speed), giving a more Porsche-like driving feeling.
AWD accelerates much faster, giving a more Porsche worthy push. Making the rear kick out would require much higher speed - safe only on circuit?
Pick whichever feeling you prefer - forward...
Don't forget that Chinese EVs are still heavily subsidized by their government, and we're not paying the real price: that's just their strategy to kill jobs in our countries and bring them to their country. Total price including how it will hurts our economies is much higher. I will definitely...
The next Porsche 718 will be the first (Venturi Fetish) second (Tesla Roadster) third (MG Cyberster) fourth (Caterham Project V) fifth... electric sport car on the market...
The Caterham Project V looks stunning! With all the delays on the 718, the Cat' P-V might hit the market before.
Official...
The usual cause of failure (visible only if one stays in the car after launching the update, despite the instruction is a low 12V battery voltage - the message says to go for a long enough drive and try again.
Honestly... It's not there :p ;)
Clicking on it opens a menu with a single entry - to read the text on the right.
Some more info is displayed after switching off the car, when hitting the button to process with the install. Translation:
I'm actually surprised I got it, given my Porsche Connect...
I opened a few of its source links, and none mentioned WST2. In fact, they're about other, older, updates.
This looks like a complete hallucination. The reason I much more trust a search engine over an LLM. LLMs are NOT a valid source of information, their output must always be verified.
Facepalm, I should not post at midnight... The post I wanted to quote was about a software update around the end of January. I fixed my previous message.
PHEV have twice the complexity, but that's not the worse. Their battery is puny, and it'll be fully discharged and recharged every day. It'll have many more full cycles, meaning its lifetime will be much shorter than an EV's battery.
