Porsche Wolverhampton turned mine around in less than a week, well pleased ?. However, it took Porsche Assist a week to get it to the dealer. Not pleased about that?
I tried a QV when I was shopping for my last ICE but it was stock not modded like yours. I ended up with an M4CS which gave me more confidence at high speed. I traded that for my 4s with 21s and all the chassis options. The handling of the 4s is in another league to the M4, particularly the...
And another one here. Dec 21 4S big battery, 12000 miles. Noticed no heating yesterday but carried on with my journey and another 150 miles today. Not only is it Baltic in the car but the battery doesn’t warm up even when driven in sports plus which normally gets it into the mid 20s (C) quite...
Fully agree with this. I run in sport plus most of the time and today after 11k miles my opc advised that I needed new tyres all round. Rears had even wear but the fronts are bald on the inner edge with relatively similar wear across the rest at about 4.5mm. Apparently, I need to have it...
I launch CarPlay every time I get in the car, it just seems normal and gives me the same interface I have with my other cars so feels the right and I know how to navigate. My problem is you have to lanch carplay , then confirm you want carplay and some times have to re confirm. Come on Porsche...
I’d understood, but never checked, that if you are charged to your target level then manually start the pre heat that after the 1 hour timer had counted down to zero it would then start to charge again up to 100%. This could be complete rubbish though.
Isn’t that after it times out? Right now I’ve got my message that it’s up to temperature and the charging light has gone out. I’m about to use the car so won’t be able to follow behaviour for any longer
I think this is correct. When mine is plugged, has finished charging and I activate pre heating, the charging light goes green again which must indicate it is drawing power for the heating (or keeping the battery at the target level)
The cold weather has definitely lowered my range. It’s currently sitting at 186 miles and 90% on the guess o meter. I was regularly getting 240 or more on a full battery in the summer (21 inch wheels, pb+ and no update as yet)
I did the same calculation but assumed 50w, and 250 miles at an average of 50mph (ie 5 hours). Not surprisingly mine showed a range reduction of less than 1 mile. It’s all about the assumptions, but whatever they are the range reduction is in the margins
Well Porsche doesn’t seem to think so. I drive with sound on a good proportion of the time and have never seen any change in the guess o meter when switching between on and off. Of course there will be some very minor impact.
I test drove with and without and ended up speccing it. Many people get it since it can improve the ride in a straight line when it fully disengages both axles. I got it because I could feel (although maybe placebo) the car adjusting the stiffness of each axle to reign in under / oversteer. I...
No doubt about that. However, I’d even pay something to have access to the launch control power on demand and accept there might be circumstances where there was thermal limiting of power.
I’m not going to popular again tonight! General comment not aimed at anyone in particular. I don’t know why people talk about comfort and Porsche in the same sentence. A Porsche is about handling, that is about stiffness and lack of roll (with as much compliance as can be mustered). Porsches...
