I have now also realised that not having Connect means the Porsche Nav has limited functionality - the car's internet connection is severely limited so no live charging stations or Google search. So that's pretty much decided it for me - without Connect too many key features of the car won't...
That's actually very true! I guess it's related to the inconsistencies of charging; we know we pumped the petrol, we paid at the till and saw the needle go up - with EVs we're hopeful that the timers were set correctly and the electricity provider agreed it was an off-peak period but we can't be...
I think the rub owners are feeling is that they have paid a lot of money for their cars and the services but some expected functionality is withdrawn after 3 years unless they subscribe to "optional" connect. I also believe that a reasonable fee for accessing services over the cloud is fair but...
I'm into my 2nd month without Connect subscription - I think I can live without remotely pre-warming the car but being able to see state of charge seems like a basic requirement for any EV today? Not only can I not see the SoC but also my charging service through OVO relies on the integration...
I thought it might be a nice touch to replace these with some anodised allen bolts - dark blue was my idea.
However on attempting to remove one it just seems to turn rather than extract - maybe not a real fixing after all??
There is a 60 second allowance when the speed sign changes apparently, to allow for this kind of situation. If you were only 200m away when the sign changed you should be within the allowance and if a ticket arises you can appeal.

Playing on the word Ceramic seems wasteful, I'm sure you will use that in a descriptor and the GTechniq branding will be on it also...
After another bunch of points thanks to mobile cameras I'm looking to improve my detection system (and slow down of course) I'm reluctant to invest in a full radar/laser detection system but noticed these Ooono devices, seem inexpensive but do they just provided the same data we might get on...
I would suppose it depends on whether the battery case is the original one. If it is and you need another module in the future then I believe they can‘t rivet it again as the holes are now too large and they would have to replace the case as well.
You should have 8 years warranty on the...
Looking forward and considering the 8 year warranty on these batteries, we have to assume that all the J1.1 packs will be used up in the next 6 months or so? There are a lot of cars going through this globally right now (mine included).
Adding in the issue of the rivet drill limit (the battery...
I'll be as gentle as I can... seems that you bought the car you wanted, not the car you needed?
I'm guessing a family SUV will tick a lot more of those boxes and overcome the wrinkles you're struggling with?
If it were me I would explore other German brands rather than Tesla, BMW iX maybe...
I just experienced this Saturday morning; in Sport mode rolling up to traffic lights about to change at a roundabout, floored it and it splutters - actually felt like it was running out of petrol ?. It continued to be unresponsive to the throttle for the next few minutes when I arrived at my...
