I’m getting the tune for my RWD with PB+
It may take a while since I’m ordering a secundaire ecu, and I first need to read out data from my Car.
My collegae had a dragy. So I Will get performance data before and after! (I probably won’t do a dyno-run, since it seems very difficult for EV’s...
Thirst year I drove 40k kms. (That’s approx. 25k miles).
this year will be a little bit less. I’m at 50000km now after 17 months.
It’s my daily driver and I work all across my (little) country.
First set of tires (21”) lasted 40.000km :)
It has had 1 30k service. And it was at the dealer once...
I drive the the Ioniq 5N regularly for work. It’s a lot of fun!
it almost makes you think you’re driving an ICE car. They emulate every detail, sound, less power when in a ‘higher gear’, turbo-lag, you feel the shifting, etc.
It’s sportier than the Taycan. Chassis is really good.
not so...
It will only pre-heat for DC charging (I read somewhere even only dc charging above a certain power level, I think >150kW, not sure about this number though.
but you van indeed select a known charger nearby to preheat (dc fast), and go to the unkown charger instead.
I would indeed agree, to some extend. We need to know how much each variable influences the SOH, for example Fast charging (heat!), or high/low Soc (for longer times), or other factors.
So you're probably right it's not really representative for overal soh after a certain number of charges, but...
like I said, there's many more factors that come in to play, this was only to illustrate that in fact there is/can be a difference between differente charging habbits, concerning 'longer/shorter cycles'.. and in theory it's better to do short cycles. I know temperature, charging speed ("C")...
See attachement.. it shows battery degradation for different charging for li-ion batteries.
as know by most, it’s best to keep these batteries as much between 20-80% soc as possible, but it’s even better to charge more often. There’s also practicality and other factors that play a part in this.
People often underestimate how much energy is in an EV’s battery. Your calculation is right, 700mA (0,7Ah) @12Volts = 8,4W, so 0,0084kW. (so 0,0084kWh after an hour of use)
Apart from energy needed for driving, the HAVC system and maybe a 1000+Watt audio system are the only energy-consumers...
Speeding in the Netherlands is expensice, but Swiss is one of the worst countries to get caught speeding..
Especially nasty because you weren’t speeding continuesly and just overtaking. interested in how much this is gonna cost you. months of no driving is even worse.. i feel for you!
Very nice spec! I will have those wheels on mine as well, they're so nice! (My car will be Vulcan grey (and a Sport Turismo) .
Enjoy the car.
ps: did you order bose? Did you get it?
I own a BMW Z4M Roadster. 3.2 6-inline, naturally aspirated, manual gearbox.. I'm a real car enthousiast and appreciate the raw driving experience.
I also enjoy an EV for daily driving, as I drive a lot, I care about comfort, the silence, a good audio system, etc.
I notice that since the daily...
In EU we have legislation for this also..
When slowing down from 0,7m/s2 and up, brake lights MAY go on, from 1.3 m/s2 slowing down brake lights MUST go on. up until 0,7, slowing down is comparable to an ICE car slowing down in gear (also no brakelights)
safety!
Automatic lights won't always turn on when you want them to, for example in the rain, when driving underneath a lot of trees.
Studies show that 50% of all accidents have to do with (poor) visibility.
As already said before in this thread, the taillights are off with day-time lights. This can't be changed in the menu.
Regarding EU legislation.. a while ago (in most EU countries) taillights were not alowed to be on in conjunction with day-time lights. In some other countries (Scandinavië), it...
If the car achieves 150miles (winter, on 85%) and you may drive 100-150 miles, than it should be adequate, right?
If you drive a lot, just charge it more than 85%, 100% if you need. In the summer you can change it back to 85%. (high SOC is more stressfull on the battery with higher temperatures...
Awesome news! At which dealer did you order? My Taycan ST was supposed to roll out the factory 10-10, so I assume it will arrive at Porsche Centrum Gelderland soon.. with 12V (and Bose) I hope.
can’t wait to take delivery
Vulcano grey.. A bit safe, but I like it. And it’s better somerimes towards my cliënts to not draw to much attention. Besides, although I like Mamba green, I think I maybe get bored with it after a yesr or two. at which dealer did you order your car? I live in Ede, ordered at Porsche Gelderland.
