Having just had the brake fluid changed as per the request of the PCM service notification the pedal feel is far more direct and positive. Any sponginess is gone and it feels more linear in response. The car is 2 years old and has 36.5k miles on it. Feels markedly better for having had it done.

May be different schedules across the Atlantic but mine’s just flashed up a service notification for brake fluid replacement at 36k miles and approaching 2 years old (given the due date in the PCM I’m guessing it’s a 2 year thing).

That they have! Unfortunately for us, as with some companies with electric vehicles, a lot of insurers just won’t quote for our property. Our broker is, mercifully, an excellent practitioner so keeps us on about the right side of crazy each year.

It does seem as though insurance is just more expensive across the board. We’ve just re-insured my wife’s Fiat and her insurance has gone up from £250 to just under £400. Lord help us when Hiscox come knocking again in April for the house insurance (listed building, flood zone…….aargh!)
