I ordered studded Hakkapeliita 10 EV Silent-Studded and had them shipped directly to the installer. The summer tires, took me two trips to bring back....apparently others are better at tire jenga than I am.

I started to review these over on a different post, here is the link: https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/new-winter-studded-tires-installed-initial-review-us.8568/
I will take 4 working 150kW chargers over a bank of 6 with 2 being 350kW and only two working, both limited to <50kW any day of the week!
Want to trade?
Just an update....my contact has already helped out our forum members get their tires and have even shipped them across to the West Coast.
There are now only 8 Rear Tires that we can see in the country! That means that only 4-more Taycan's will be able to get the studded tires put on for this...
@riburn3 perhaps this is true for EA for customers that are having trouble getting their session started.....however, the real issue I have is the EA stations simply out of order, or they are restricted to <50kW power due to always being in an 'upgrade' status. Neither of these have been able to...
will do, should be installed by next week at the latest! Will let you know how it goes with the first snow fall....may have to take it out when it snows just to have fun :)
@schad , @kev_song (i think you already have a set?), @silversurfer , @Greenmachine , @Tandrup , @KTC , just pinging you all as you have expressed interest. Let me know if you want to be in touch with my connection and/or if others (especially in the Northeast) are interested.
I think you make really good points and your model/thoughts hold up to scrutiny....until they don't.
What I mean, is that this assumes that normal, daily/weekly behaviors continue for every aspect that we use the vehicle.
I will give the example of going on a trip, or visiting relatives, or...
All: If you are in New England (update: can ship country wide)....I have a line on 11 set's of Nokian Hakkapelitta 10 EV Studded full-sets of front and rear! I just ordered mine (these are ordered from different suppliers across the US and we tracked all shipments into the US and they came...
@gnop1950 I tend to agree with everything you posted, I think there is a lot of truth in what you say.
I feel that at some point, the social contract with a news organization changed without informing the viewer. What I mean is that they switched to these opinion hosts, but kept the branding...
I think you make a good post, but just be sure to be completely objective to the 'news' sources that you are not calling out. I happened to have gone to a prominent institute of technology in Massachusetts (not very cryptic, I know....) and I am always searching for the truth in reporting. My...
your link and trouble with getting the charging started is not my challenge. The challenge is that the actual stations are not operating or are limited to below 50kW due to being upgraded.
Furthermore, it doesn't matter the genesis of why the company was started, it is the network supporting the...
This post sums up most of our experiences......we are sort of like in an abusive relationship. We stick around and focus on the 'good times', but we are all a little on-edge because any moment the car might get 'in a mood' and we have to deal with the aftermath.
We all have two choices, stick...
back to the OP's question and points that they may miss, here is my take:
One pedal driving -If that is what you like, there is no argument against this...stick with the one-pedal machine......you can get close with regain 'on' but it is not as pronounced, nor even close.
0-60 3.1s without...
@DANgerous you may very well be right on the 'fun factor' and would most likely purchase a Taycan and Rivian as the 'beater' to haul things to and from the dump and into the woods if money was not an option.
However, I was speaking to those out there that have a budget and are really only...
one thing that we could all benefit from is having an 'attendant on-duty' at these charging stations and train them with the ability to maintain, troubleshoot and keep the charging banks running as advertised.
There needs to be more attention to the network that supports the vehicles that we...
well, if someone can install a 'better mouse trap' that is as quick as EA, but actually works.....I would pay for that all day long vs. having a 'free 3-year' subscription to something that simply does not deliver on what it advertises and treats us all like we don't have an alternative and...
with 0-60 times reported between 3.48 and 4.7 sec. This is a truck that acts like a Tesla (fast 0-60 and most likely not great auto-cross handling). Not to mention the AWD system that can put power to each specific wheel and get you out of almost anything. The creature comforts are also...
Here is my EA 101.....document every time that you pull into a station and you can't use a certain bank, are unable to connect, charging is limited below 50kW, and all issues.
Then report this to EA and start to keep a log as there are many that are talking about potential litigation around...
