I like the design of these new wheels and figured they would fit on a regular Taycan since the other wheels are also available for the Cross Turismo.
what are your thoughts on this?
It was confirmed that it is in fact a Porsche Canada limitation. They have not implemented the more intricate FOD options in Canada beyond the ones that were offered since launch. Innodrive, LKA, Sportsound and others will be added but no timeline as it stands. It’ll be a waiting game for the...
Found this on Suncoastparts: https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/pktaysills.html
Anyone do this?
I picked up my 4S without the sport design and regret not having the side skirts. This looks like an inexpensive and simple modification but I'm not sure what would be involved in the...
Even if this were the case I still believe Porsche should make it a high priority to provide a timely update to the 2020 vehicles. Otherwise it simply comes across as a form of neglect towards those who purchased a Taycan last year. This is not the way most modern businesses work when it comes...
Just confirmed on the Porsche connect store that any FOD option is only available for 2021 models. If you have ACC and want Innodrive as a FOD download...not happening. Active lane assit...nope.
I find it rather pathetic that Porsche would leave out those that bought the fist batch of Taycan’s...
They look stunning! Are they the Vossen HF-5? Did you notice a range difference before and after the 22” were installed? I assume you had the 21” factory installed?
In the event where it is a current campaign I guess it only applies to vehicles with earlier build dates with an older software version? I called my dealer and they weren’t aware of any software updates being available for my VIN.
Someone from Germany posted this in a Taycan Facebook group. Apparently it is a software update that includes the following:
Improvements on charging, battery capacity improvements, improvements on driving dynamics, seat position presets, park distance control, optimization on the curved...
This is a centerlock adapter...it still uses the 5 bolts as the hub itself isn't centerlock. I get what you're saying...I will further investigate this and re-evaluate my decision if this is in fact adding potential structural weakness to the design. The idea is to simply hide the bolts like the...
That's a valid concern. I’ve had HRE’s on my 991 Turbo S and Ferrari 458 without ever having an issue. In most cases custom forged rims are made to higher quality specs than those made by the car manufacturer. Porsche 20” options for the 4S/Turbo/Turbo S are all cast wheels and I’m fairly...
Also looking to incorporate a centerlock adapter so the wheels will have the Porsche GT wheel design. Here is a pic of the centerlock adapter and second pic is the same adapter on a custom wheel:
The idea is to go same specs as the factory 21’s but a slightly more aggressive offset to get a more flush look. Same width so the factory tires can be used. The car was measured with factory wheels removed and there is space for a slightly more aggressive offset. Wider rims and tires simply...
