I emailed my dealer yesterday for an update but he hasn’t replied yet. Yeah looks like November realistically but was hoping I would get it this month.

After more than 2 years the chip shortage isn’t getting any better, if anything it’s getting worse. Toyota and Honda are also drastically cutting production because of the lack of semi-conductors. The car manufacturers should have got together for a better solution as everyone is now suffering.

The 12V batteries will start to be installed from the middle of October so I imagine very few if any will be delivered fully completed to the dealerships till then.

The chip shortage isn’t improving then. I thought they would have sorted the supply problems by the end of 2022 but clearly this is going to take much longer to resolve.

I like the sport design package but you are paying a ridiculous price for a only slightly more aggressive look. If budget isn’t a problem then go for it but I didn’t spec this option as I optioned for bigger alloy wheels that was more than enough to make it look sporty.

Does your car have the 12v battery fitted ? Otherwise you maybe facing a significant delay.

I will admit when growing up in the 90s I genuinely thought Porche were ugly looking cars, didn’t get the hype. However this changed in the mid 2000s when the designs became more appealing and the Taycan is the most beautifull car in the range, though I’m a fan of the current 911 as well.
